Despite having difficulty sleeping that night, Jethro woke up early the next day. It was a Sunday, and yet here he was, awake even before the Earth completed its rotation around the sun.
There he was again, taking in the fresh air from his window, standing at his window while his body cast a shadow inside his room.
He headed inside the shower and just sat there. He needed to harness all the courage that he could for that day. Not only will he be facing Topaz again. He would be seeing Mrs. Layton. It would be hard for him to face her, knowing that he chose to abandon her daughter during the most difficult time in her life.
But he agreed that he would come to The Write Brew today as part of his introduction before he starts working on Monday.
