Chapter Twenty-Six Time stood still as Sam lost herself in the tender kiss. Her lips were slightly out of sync with Lilith’s, but it didn’t matter. There was magic in getting to know someone through a kiss, in figuring each other out without words. It was perfectly imperfect. The house could have caught fire and the world ended, and she wouldn’t have noticed. A little surge of bravery had Sam nipping at Lilith’s bottom lip and she grinned as the other woman let out a muffled moan. She wasn’t sure what gave her the courage to be so playful but there was something about Lilith that made her feel bold.
