The next day, Carmen didn’t know what she was doing. She and Liam had spent hours together yesterday driving all over the city to follow food trucks. In the end, they only managed to hit about five, but as anxious as she’d been about facing all that food, Liam insisted they share and sample different things. She’d only consumed a bite or two of each item and felt no guilt afterward. It had been the first time in years that she’d been able to eat out without being self-conscious and worrying about how much she ate.
