Chapter 5 Three days later, Liam walked out of Porter’s after what had to have been his worst night as a chef ever. Jonathan had changed the specials without telling Liam. He hadn’t even asked Liam for input this time. Then he managed to purchase the cheapest cut of beef possible, all in the name of saving on the bottom line. The dining experience of customers for that evening had been worse than if they’d gone to a corner coffee shop. And he knew he would take the blame. No one ever said the owner was responsible if the cut of meat was tough or it was the wrong cut for a particular dish—no, the chef always took the blame. He couldn’t even deny it.
