Chapter 11Leonie is greeting people in the foyer of her home. Priscilla and Giacomo come down the stairs. The outside air is balmy; despite this the windows are open.
Leonie looks up. “Hola, ciao, the woman of the hour.” They kiss on the cheek and then head into the entryway. There are about fifteen people there, mostly employees of the museum. Immediately Priscilla and Ramona see each other. Ramona abruptly ends her conversation with someone to say hello.
“Hola,” she says, kissing her cheek. She then greets Giacomo.
“Estás bella, Ramona!”
“Who taught you that?” she asks, laughing.
“I’m making friends with some locals.”
“Oh, are you?” Priscilla asks with a surprised tone.
