Vivian’s POV I arrived at the police station just as Detective Harris and several officers finished processing Ryan. The station buzzed with quiet activity around me, but my attention remained fixed on the interrogation room at the end of the hallway. A few minutes later, Detective Harris walked toward me with a file tucked beneath his arm. “Mrs. Carter,” Detective Harris said. “He’s been processed.” He nodded toward the corridor. “You can go into the interrogation room now.” I rose from my seat. “Thank you, Detective,” I said.
