“Mom, you won’t believe what happened today,” Samantha said, pulling a crumpled envelope from her backpack. “The music department received a special invitation. There’s a prestigious winter gala next month — a charity event for young musicians. And they want me to perform a solo piece. But there’s more…”

Samantha nodded. “The director mentioned that a major donor specifically recommended me. But here’s the intriguing part — they want an original composition. And they’re offering a mentorship with a famous composer who’s visiting from Europe. This could be huge for my future.”
Jordan grinned. “It’s an amazing opportunity. But it feels like… there might be more to it.”
Isabella set the letter down, her mind racing. Was this Liam’s way of supporting Samantha, or was there something else at play? She texted Liam later that evening, asking for clarification.
His reply came quickly: “I recommended her because she deserves it. But there’s something else. Can we talk in person?”
The next day, Liam met Isabella at a quiet café near her studio. He looked both excited and slightly nervous as he slid into the seat across from her.
