'Today is my 12th birthday ' Princess Pooja walks down the huge elegant stairs, caressing her dancing fingers on handrail. 'Every year my birthday is the only day when I can see people'. Her servants working on designing the mansion bow to her. 'Other than my 3 maids 2 drivers and 7 watchmen I get to see real world's real people. My servers are all my dad's age so I have barely had sights of humans of my age'. 'I eagerly wait for them to come, especially for Sagar' She checks out the invitations and approve one of them to deliver. 'Sagar is the only one who understands me, but he fears my dad, he comes hidden between other humans every year . I'm happy until I can see him' ................................................................. 'Atleast this is what I expected today to be' blood handed Pooja sheds tears as her huge mansion hall is filled with bodies of the dead. All her guest including Sagar, whom she cherished the most were in blood pool. One of her maids slowly puts her hand on Pooja's shoulders, 'My lady, are you alright?' she questions. 'Here, clean yourself before your father comes to visit' , one of her drivers gives Pooja a clean cloth. 'I-I don't know how I did this, I don't want to.. be a mur...murderer ',she yelles at peak of her voice that everything thing in the house shivers. 'My lady, it's not your fault, humans are as weak as these furnitures, they can be broken' other maid says. 'Yes my lady please don't blame yourself, do not frown on your birthday ' says the third maid. 'My little princess is all grownup' her dad walks in having the pleasant smile on his face. Pooja runs to her father and hugs him saying, 'Please don't hate me daddy, I didn't do it intentionally ' 'Everybody dismiss' he orders the servants. Everyone disappears in a blink of eye. 'Stop shedding those precious tears, my girl. You did a great job' father says wiping Pooja's tears. He kneels down to make eye contact with her. 'Now you know why I keep you away from humans, right? asks her father. 'Yes daddy, I'll never go near them or bring them near me ever' says Pooja sniffing her nose. Sagar's body which was laying dead started to move, father saw it and carried Pooja to her room upstairs. 'It's your birthday princess, clean yourself and calm down I'll see what I can do for the dead' says father closing the room door. Sagar stood up all alive and stares at him confused. 'Sir! what happened here, why are all of them in blood?' he asks. 'That is not a question boy, question is how are you standing alive? ' father exaggerates. He walks near Sagar and checks him. He points to Sagar's neck chain. What is that made off? he asks 'I-I should better leave' Sagar says and turns to leave but king gets right infront of his face. 'How-how did you...' Sagar gets stunned by his speed. I am a vampire, Pooja's mother was an alpha and you...what are you, a siphon? or witch son? he asks slowly moving his fingers around Sagar's neck chain. While Pooja listens to them from upstairs.
