KA-BOOM
I fall out of bed and Malax jumps up. He runs right out the door.
I chase him out and collide with Rye at the end of the hallway. We sneak up to the window in the living room.
The ground over the charging station is gone. There's an alien floating over the hole with his legs down in it.
"He must be pulling the chrono up his legs somehow."
We watch him for an hour, then he flies up in the air.
"They are trying to get it all."
"Yea, we should be safe to sleep some more. It's only been 2 hours."
Malax carries me back to bed. I almost feel safer now that it's gone.
I sleep so well again. Something about sleeping with Malax makes me sleep like a baby.
