How could he have forgotten one simple rule of the mate bond?
Never leave your mate for a long period especially if the bond has not been completed.
Damn! He was an i***t. Nothing in this world was more important than his mate. Yet, he let her down.
Even forgetting their mating ceremony which was supposed to be the most important event of their lives.
It took them hours to get to the airport since Lucas's estate was an island. When they arrived at the airfield it was late in the morning. Then they waited for clearance from air traffic to finally take off.
He couldn't relax on the plane because he had to endure ten hours of flight from Greece to NYC. He felt like gnashing his teeth. He would be home by midnight at least.
