~ARIA~ Kael barked, his voice breaking through my thoughts. I snapped my gaze to him, surprised by his tone. “I was just…” My voice trailed. “Let’s move,” he interrupted, his impatience evident. Kael walked ahead, and I followed closely behind. I pushed behind all thoughts of escaping. There was no way I could escape now. As we stepped outside, the bright light hit my face like a slap. I squinted against the light and tried to focus on what lay ahead. I noticed Damon already in one of the convoy of cars, watching us with a neutral expression.
