Chapter 1

 “Jim gising na!!!” Sigaw ni mama. Seriously, why does majority of the books I’ve read starts with the protagonist waking up? What’s with the morning? Oh well, it’s already 7 a.m. I should really wake up coz’ my diploma won’t run towards me, I should work for it.

Hey, I haven’t introduced myself yet, my name is Jimuelle San Pascual, 20 years old, the eldest child of Jewel San and Elliot Pascual, and I have 1 sibling. We are not rich, that’s for sure, baka akala nyo mayaman ako dahil sa aking supah English intro, well, that’s the perks of being an English major, I’m now at my last year in college(hopefully) and that’s it, there’s nothing very important about me.

“Jim, bumangon ka na late ka na!!!” oh, not again, “andyan na!!!” and I hurriedly fix up myself before my mom throw anything to me. Let’s just fast forward things so I can go to school na (oh my, conyo alert please ^.^) 

Before I could open the door to my classroom I can already hear noises and crying and, the f**k, should I really describe this? I just entered the room just to see my classmates gathered up to comfort Lily, it’s her nickname which she earned, way back when we were 8, when she lost her 2 front teeth and we call her Lily- lilima ngipin hahahaha, corny, sabi ko nga wag na. anyways I would bet my china phone na ang problema ni Lily eh lalaki, na naman.

“Gusto ko lang naman na magsuot sya ng pink tux para sa birthday ko kasi I’ve always dreamt of my prince charming wearing pink tux, ano bang masama dun??? Tapos sabi nya ang demanding ko daw, tapos sabi nya we need space daw to sort out our wants, shete sya akala mo gwapo sya, waaaaaaaahhhhhh” lily yelled, gosh, ang babaw nila ha?

“ang aga mong ngumawa ha?” I interjected between her sobs.

“JIMMMMM, nakipag hiwalay na sa akin si Morris kasi-“

“oh shut up” I cut her sentence “Gosh Lily, that’s what? Your third guy for this month? Eh sino ba namang matinong lalaki ang susunod sa mga gusto mo? Yung last guy mo inutusan mong bumili ng chocolate ice cream pagkatapos pinabalik mo kasi ang gusto mo rocky road, nung nabilhan ka na nya bigla kang nagwala kasi my peanut yung rocky road at my allergy ka dun ayun, napuno na sa kaartehan mo at nakipaghiwalay-“

“eh kasi naman, dapat alam nya yun no, gf nya ako, dapat alam nya yung pwede at bawal sa akin”

“Eh paano nya malalaman, katatanong nya palang kung pwede kang ligawan sinagot mo na!!” I hissed

“idagdag mo pa yung first bf mo this month na nakipag break sayo kasi nagwala dahil blue yung lalagyanan ng ice cream na binili nya!!!”

“tama lang naman yun ah, I hate blue---“ she said

“for f**k’s sake Lily you’ve requested an ice cream from DQ and you are expecting a what? Pink cup??” I said

“ sino bang kinakampihan mo sila o ako? Waaaaaaaah wala na talaga akong kakampi!!!!!!!”

“tama na nga yan, baka kayo pa mag away nyan eh” singit ni Dior na laging naka kampi kay Lily, honestly, I can smell something fishy about this guy that I can’t just point out, well not as of the moment.

Lily and I were friends since I could remember. She always supports me whatever I do, and one of the proofs? She took the same course that I took from the same university kahit alam kong afford nya mag ibang bansa para mag aral. Then last year, nag enroll naman tong si Dior sa class namin and since then lagi na syang nakasunod sa amin.

“Charlie Lianna Dizon, you know pretty well na hindi ko kinakampihan ni isa sa mga naging lalaki mo, ang akin lang, pag isipan mo munang maigi yung pagpasok mo sa kung ano anung relationship,you know how much I hate hearing you cry like a pig nearing its butcher, sakit sa tenga eh” I said

“First, Jimuelle Pascual, don’t call me using my whole name, especially the first part, it sucks, nakakawala ng poise ko bilang pretty princess. Second they are not my mga lalaki, is it my fault na biniyayaan ako ni Lord ng sobra sobrang kagandahan and as the saying says I am just sharing my blessings and lastly, hindi ako umiiyak na parang baboy na kinakatay, my father says I’m cute when I cry like that!!!” she said while rolling her eyes.

“and you also said before that the term cute is only for dogs” I said smirking

“ugh, I so hate you Jim! Hindi mo na ako mahal” she said

“whatever, so san mo planong mag gala mamaya?”

“sasamahan mo ako?” she looked at me like kid that was given a reward

“oo naman, alangan naman pabayaan kita, baka bigla kang magpatiwakal in a horrible way, I know how much you hate horrible things ako yung magsasabi kung pretty or horrible yung last breath mo” I said with a sweet smile

“That’s so thoughtful of you, kaya mahal na mahal kita eh!!!” she said and she hugged me, seriously? Foul na nga ata yung mga sinabi ko pero naka ngiti pa sya, baliw ba to?

“so, gagala kayo mamaya, I know a place kung saan pwedeng mag unwind” singit na naman ni Dior

“talaga? Sasama ka di ba? Para the more the merrier di ba? Wow this is going to be fun!!” Lily happily said, nag iinarte lang to kanina eh, alam kong di naman sya affected sa pakikipag break nung 3 days boyfriend nya, tsk, hindi man lang nya hayaang umabot ng 7 days, yung parang isang linggong pag ibig lang psh, I know it’s just her way to forget, kaya nga kahit alam kong trip lang nya yung mga lalaki nya at may malaking chance na masaktan ulit sya, hinahayaan ko lang, may magpapa realize din sa kanya na hindi lahat ng tao iiwan sya, na may mag I-stay to prove her that she is worth loving and will give her all the love and attention that she deserved. Okay, crap, this seems to be a boring and dramatic part.

The class already ended, at dahil yun lang naman ang subject namin ngayon, gagala na kami. We used Dior’s car dahil di dala ni Lily yung car nya, it’s fine with me na nakakasama namin si Dior kasi I feel na mas safe kami ni Lily when he is around, iba kasi tlaga mga trip ni Lily, puro lalaki, si Dior nga lang ata ang kakilala kong malapit sa amin ni Lily na hindi nya pa nagiging boyfriend ang gwapo kaya ni Dior tas hindi nya pa nilalandi ay oo nga pala, hindi naman nanglalandi si Lily, tinatanong sya ng mga lalaki at pinagbibigyan nya naman, well for Dior’s case,  he asked for friendship kaya pinagbigyan ni Lily, of course with my consent.

The place where he brought us is suitable for picnics and family gatherings. The place is beautiful with a manmade lake, different stalls and activities, the whole place looks relaxing.

I saw Dior preparing a blanket and a picnic basket, really? Pinaghandaan nya ba to o alam nyang ma bobroken ,  errr scratch that, makikipagbreak yung bf ni Lily ngayon?

“yayain ko talaga kayo ngayon, nagkataon lang na nakipagbreak yung fling ni Charlie sa kanya” he said looking at me as if he could read my thoughts.

“whatever” I said then sat down the blanket

“ang akala ko pa naman mag ba bar tayo” sabi ni Lily

“ayaw mo ba dito?” Dior said looking at Lily like he is hurt.

“nope, I so love this place, ang peaceful” lily then said and smiled

“talaga? Gusto mo balik ulit tayo dito?” Dior

“why not?” Lily smiled again

Ugh, ano ako dito? Display? Third wheel? Anak ng siomaiiii tong dalawang to kung mag usap para akong multo ah, Hmp!

“hoy Sanders! Asan cr dito?”  lalayasan ko na lang tong dalawang to, para lang akong asungot sa kanila habang nag di date eh.

Dior looked at me and then to his phone.

“just follow this road then if you see a path going left go there, marunong ka naman sigurung magbasa makikita mo kaagad yun” he said, is he insulting me? I just rolled my eyes. Whatever, I’m in no mood to argue, I looked at him and I saw him smile like he is up to something fishy, hmmm.

“gusto mo samahan kita Jim?” tanong ni Lily

“no, just stay here and relax, text nyo lang ako pag pauwi na” I answered then I started walking.

Nung malapit na ako, may narinig akong umiiyak, s**t, tumingin ako sa paligid wala akong kasama dito, pakingtape naman oh, mararanasan ko na ba yung ga napapanood kong paranormal activies? Hoooooo, okay Jimuelle, chill, relax, inhale, exhale, inhale, ex—

“huhuhuhuh,*sinok, sinok*, huuhuhuhuhu”

Shit! Palakas ng palakas, ano? Tatakbo ba ako? Hindi pwde, may napanood ako dati na nung tumakbo yung bida, akala nya natakbuhan nya yung spirit, tapos paglingon nya nakapasan na yung spirit and then, waaaaaaaah, I don’t want to imagine, okay sige, diretso lang Jim, wag kang lilingon, wag kang lili-, what’s that?  teka bata yung umiiyak? f**k, ang oa ko. Tinitigan ko munang mabuti yung bata bago ako lumapit, mahirap na, baka nga spirit sya tapos bigla kong nilapitan, tapos nakita ko scary pala yung feslak nya, edi inatake ako sa puso tas namatay akong virgin, NO WAY!!! Hahahaha.  

“bata, bakit ka umiiyak?” tanong ko, pero umiyak lang sya, tapos tumingin sya sa akin ng slowmo, *gulp* eto na ba yun? yung bigla syang sisigaw ng waaaaaahhh!!! Hahaha.

Pag angat nya ng mukha nya, s**t, ni hindi nga to papasa kahit pang extrang mananakot sa horror film eh, he looks like an angel, a cherub to be exact, his eyes are blue and swollen pero ang gwapo nya pa ring tignan, shemaii, pinagisipan ko talang multo tong angel na to? I tried to smile at him then I dried his tears using my hankie, nung mahihimasmasan sya, tinignan nya ako na parang gulat na gulat, then he said something that shook my whole being,

“MOMMMMMYYYYY” he shouted then hugged me.
