~GUILIA’S POV~ The silence in my room was suffocating. Not the peaceful kind. Not the kind that lets you rest your mind and body after a long day. No. This one had weight to it. The kind that wraps around your chest and doesn’t let go. I sat by the edge of the bed, still wearing the same clothes I’d worn to the café earlier. The same jeans, the black shirt that now smelled faintly of gunpowder and espresso. The chaos of the day replayed in my head like a movie I didn’t want to watch. The sound of glass shattering, the screams, the stench of smoke bombs, Vince’s voice and that frightening coldness in his eyes. I’d never been that scared in my life.
