"Mira!" I screamed.
My voice broke as I rushed forward, but two shadow beasts slammed into me, pinning me to the ground.
I fought against them. "Let me go!" But they were too strong.
I could only watch. Mira's body weakened. Her strength fading.
Her hands gripped Luca's arm weakly.
Her lips moved, but no sound came out. Then slowly She went still.
Something inside me shattered. "No…" My voice came out broken.
"No… no, no, no…" Luca pulled his claw free and let her body fall.
She hit the ground with a dull, lifeless sound, everything around me blurred.
