10 CODY The day is blistering hot, but Cody is used to walking and sweating in the sun. She doesn’t complain. She knows, by the weight of the air, that it will storm soon. The humidity will break, and then she and Penn will be showered by rain. So she minds the heat even less. Penn doesn’t seem to mind it at all. She likes his company.
