28 PENN “That was something,” Penn says, and it’s not all flattery. “I wish I could be there to watch when you slay the Fire Scale.” He’s brought Cody to her room, and draped her trembling bodice over the porcelain tub, and ordered hot bathwater and tea – but it hasn’t arrived yet. She’s almost done retching, Penn thinks. But her skin is so cold. She’s shivering like a freshly shorn lamb in Arly. Penn goes to his room and comes back with his coat.
