7.WARM HONEY

Aurther's POV

After all the warm welcomings from the pack wolves Alex ,Kara ,Julio and I decided to go to the pack house .When we reached the common room, I saw mom barking out orders to a group of omegas and when she saw us, she beamed as she approached us giving me a tight hug.She was a beautiful woman who had the brightest and beautiful smile I ever known.

“Welcome home my baby, how was your trip?" she asked.

“Thanks mom, the trip was fine and I am no longer a baby" I replied.

“I don't care how old you've become to me you're still my baby and I....oh My God " she didn't complete her sentence after seeing Kara and Alex's hands intertwined.

“Congratulations to the both of you. I am so happy for you kids " she said to them tears of joy evident in her eyes.

I was twenty one years now and I had been the Alpha for Phoenix for a year but I hadn't found my mate and on seeing Kara becoming Alex's mate, it made me a little bit jealous because kara was my little sister and she had found her mate faster than me. But still, I was happy for the both of them because I had no doubt that Kara would be protected at any cost . Alex was like a twin brother to me and I had known him since we where children, so I had no that he would protect my sister with everything he got.

“Get out of your head man, I also haven't found my mate yet so don't worry we still have girls to drool over us" Julio said with a wink.

“Don't start with that s*** man ,you know it has always been you who wanted girls to drool over you .You are the ladies man not me.I am saving myself for my mate "I told him.

“Whatever" he said.

“Uhm mum where is Dad ?"I asked changing the topic.

“Your dad has gone out for a run and he will be back any minute. ohh he is right there " she said pointing at the door.

“Dad, isn't it a coincidence that every time we're looking for you, you are there standing at the door"I teased.

“I am innocent son.I always ask myself the same thing" he said raising his hands in surrender.

“Welcome home Arthur, how did it go being your first meeting?"he asked.

“Not so bad as I expected "I said.

“Good to know then" he said

“Kid, I always knew you would be the one to take my place in my daughter's heart” he added refering to Alex ‘who had snaked his arm around Kara's waist’ with a serious face making him tense up.

“I...I”He started Stammering making us laugh.

“Dad please...!!”Kara tried to save Alex's ass.

“I was just kidding son .We bought the three of you up so well and I have no doubt that you will make a good mate. Congratulations to the both of yo" he said.Alex let out a sigh of relief.

“Thank you Uncle"Alex replied.

“No need, I'll just go take a shower and leave you kids alone"Dad said heading to his room in the pack house.

After that, mom brought for us some snacks in the common room as we waited for dinner.

We ate as we talked and laughed about some random stuff that popped in our heads making the common room lively. Julio got up to get his phone that he had left in my office.

Looking in his direction, I saw a beautiful lady with black curls.she smelled like warm honey, she was biracial with blue eyes ,she had the best curves even though she was wearing a sunny dress they could still be seen and with her brown ankle boots,she looked so damn sexy and I wanted to take her right there but I had some principles.She was walking down the stairs her attention on her phone texting someone .She missed a step and was about to fall but Julio was right on time to save her.

“Be careful little wolfie " he said.

I knew what was going on but my wolf didn't and wanted to rip Julio apart for being so corny with our mate hence a growl that almost made the house shake, making Julio raise his hands in surrender and backing off after making sure she is firm on the ground. she looked a little confused and I didn't know why but I would find out.

“MINE" was all I said as I walked towards her.she looked a little bit tensed holding her necklace.I wrapped my arms around her waist as I inhaled her scent.

“Hi princess you look tensed.Why is that?" I asked her.

“Hullo,it's just that I am new to all of this and I don't know how to react" she innocently replied.

“Don't worry princess I will teach you whatever you need to know "I assured her.I grabbed her arm taking her down to the common room to join us.

“I'm sorry man, I didn't mean to be harsh on you " I said as we were passing by Julio.

“No need for that man but a man's wolf doesn't know that when it comes to its mate" he said smirking and he headed to my office remembering his task at hand.

I sat back on my chair carrying my little princess on my lap.She had become my world in a few minutes.

“So my best friend is my brother's mate interesting...you two get yourselves a room " Kara said almost repeating the same words I told her when I found out that she and Alex were mates.

“f**k off Kara not now please" I replied inhaling her beautiful curls.She was perfect.

“Any way Arthur, meet my best friend Yasmin Miller and Yasmin meet my brother Aurther Palmer Smith and this right here is the hot Beta I was telling you about and my mate" she introduced us.

After the introductions and greetings, mum came in to call us for dinner and again she was awwed by what she saw.

We sat at the dining table and we started to dig in.
