Chapter Three

September 4th, 2023

Sae-Ras POV

It's lunchtime now, meaning half the school day has already gone by. Hana and I sit at the teacher's desk in my classroom, eating our lunch as we talked about the students in our classes. Taemin and Jaewon sat at their joint desk, talking quietly as they ate.

"So did Taemin interact with anyone besides Jaewon?" Hana asks with a little bit of worry laced in her voice. "No..." I trailed off before continuing, "when he had to introduce himself to the class he didn't even speak, Jaewon did all the talking. But it's only his first day, I wouldn't expect him to interact with everyone right away, because there were a few other kids that were just as shy."

"Yeah, I understand. I just hope he can open up and interact with others eventually." She responded. We continued to talk about the students until the lunch period ended.

Since it was only the first day, I didn't want to do anything overbearing. So, I decided to let them draw a picture of their family that will be hanged up on one of the walls in the classroom. The kids seemed to enjoy doing this activity, which pleased me.

After school had dismissed and all the kids, apart from Taemin and Jaewon, had left, I picked up all the drawings they left on their desk. As I was sticking up the pictures on the wall, Hana walked in and called out the boys' names. "Jae, Tae, come on." she then looked at me saying, "Bye Sae, I'll see you tomorrow." she then waved and the boys followed suit before following her out the door.

I was close to finishing hanging up the pictures when I came across Taemin's own. I thought he didn't finish, seeing as it was only him and a man who I would assume is his father, so I didn't hang it up. I left it on my desk so that he could finish it off tomorrow. After I was finished with everything, I headed home.

Hana's POV

On the way home I passed through the drive-thru of a Burger King fast-food chained restaurant to get some for the boys, myself, and Jeongguk to eat. After collecting my order, I drove home. Upon reaching and parking in the driveway, I saw Jeongguk out on the front porch smoking a cigarette. Shaking my head, I popped the horn to let him know to get rid of it before either Jaewon or Taemin saw it. I then got out of the car and help the boys out of their car seats.

As soon as Jaewon was on the ground, he was running in the direction on the front porch, where he saw his dad waiting. "Daddy!" I heard him yelling excitedly. Taemin and I followed shortly behind him to see Jeongguk tickling a squirming Jaewon in his arms as he tries to tell his dad about his day. "Da-Daddy, nooo st-stoppp." He whines in between giggles. This makes me smile as I watched my boys. "And why should I? Hmm?" Jeongguk asks chuckling. "Gguk, stop it. Let's go inside." I scold with a prominent smile on my face.

They all headed inside and went straight to the kitchen so they could eat. After eating, the boys went into the living room to watch tv and play with toys. "So how was your first day being a teacher baby?" Jeongguk asks as he wrapped his arms around my waist and pecked my lips. "It was great. The kids in my class are so precious, they make me wanna have another little one running around here sometime soon." I replied as I wrapped my arms around his neck, gazing up into his dark doe-shaped eyes. Hearing my statement made him smirk widely, with a mischievous look in his eyes. "Oh? Really? Then we should make that happen." He says wiggling his eyebrows up and down. I hit his chest as I shake my head. "No. Well, at least not now. I literally just started teaching and I don't wanna have to go maternity leave if I was to have bad morning sickness or something due to my pregnancy having to stop me from teaching." I reasoned with him, making him understand the predicament.

It was later that day when Taehyung came by to pick up Taemin. "How was he at school? Did he behave? Wait what am I saying, of course he behaved, he's an angel. I'm also sorry I couldn't pick him up from school. I promise I'll try to pick him up tomorrow." Taehyung rambles as soon as I let him into the house, hearing him like this makes me laughs which breaks him out of his trance and stare at me weirdly. "Tae it's okay to be like this but I told you already you don't need to worry so much, I'm always here. And you already know how shy Minne is, so it will take some time for him to break out of his shell. But you will have to ask Minnie how his day was. Oh, and one more thing," I pause smacking his big head, "I tired tell you that don't have to worry about picking him up from school, it's understandable why you can't leave the office early. And don't ever apologize for that again. I scold before leading him to Jaewon's bedroom to pick up Taemin who already was asleep next to Jaewon on his bed.

After biding Taehyung goodbye, I went to my bedroom where I saw my dear husband asleep cuddling into my pillow. I smiled, switching off the light before getting in bed next to him and lightly pushing him so I can sleep. I fell asleep that night not knowing what the future is about to unfold in all of their lives...
