Chapter 11

We all are having dinner now and Eithen keeps flirting with me but I feel so uncomfortable with each word that come out of his mouth, I try to ignore him and talk to my cousins instead but he just keeps on. 

Eva see how uncomfortable I'm getting and scolds him. 

" Eithen can you just stop? Con't you see how uncomfortable you are making Steffie? She's not interested so give it a rest already man!"

Eithen just looks at her not sure what to say then looks over to me again with shock written all over his face. I just give him an apology look and carry on eating. 

Soon everyone was done and I left for my room still wondering what Donavon meant when his said mine. Usually wolf's only get that way with their mates but I cont posable be his mate can I? I've always liked him you could say that I've fallen for him but I would never over step knowing he has a mate out there somewhere, I don't want my heart broken so I've always dreamed of us being together but never thought it would ever come true.

I get to my room going in and closing the door I don't want anyone to bother me. I'm go sit on my bed to think some more about what happened outside when there is a knock on my door. 

"Who is it?" I ask

"It's me Donavon, do you mind if I come in?.... I really need to talk to you." 

I wonder what's this about? I'm hope it's about the whole mine thing. 

"Ya, sure it's open." 

Donavon walks in looking straight at me with those beautiful eyes of his and I con't look away, those eyes looking straight through me I wonder what he sees. 

"I just want to apologize for leaving so quickly this afternoon, I had to get my head clear... Just needed a run" he apologized 

"Oh. No it's okay I understand no need to apologize" I didn't k ow what else to say. 

Playing with my hands well I wait to hear more. 

"About what I said it's true you are mine, you are my mate Steffie. I found out on my birthday but we us thinking you were human..." I cut him off before he could finish speaking. 

"I con't believe this because we thought I was human you were going to rejected me. Is that it?" I asked with anger in my eyes

"What!? No, that's not it at all Steffie. I was worried about you and I wanted to ease you into becoming Luna. That's why my mom has been giving you more and more work that she would do herself to get you use to all of this" 

He rushed out. 

So that's why Luna was asking me to help her more often then usual. But I'm still made how come his been able to go with out me for so long if I'm his mate he should want to be with me all the time. 

"If that's true then why have you been able to be way from me? Your an alpha born you shouldnt be able to leave me alone if you wanted me." I accused him

He sighs looking at me with pleading eyes, begging me to understand. "Stiffie you don't know how hard it's been to keep my hands off you, to keep my wolf in control. It has been torture to be way from you I was going to tell you when I felt the time was right. Then that guy kissed your hand, I couldn't keep from claiming you. " shaking his head 

" I couldn't see another male touch what is mine, my mate, my forever. I just couldn't I'm sorry you had to find out like that. I had everything planned for your birthday and I mess up. I'm so sorry Steffie I didn't want you to find out like this. How ironic anyway because you would of know yourself on your birthday. Maybe this was for the best." he said with sad eyes.

I look at him and see that his telling the truth I know he is. I sigh still not believing that I could be his mate. 

" Are you sure I'm your mate? " I ask unsure of myself. 

The look on his face said it all he was dead sure." Yes Steffie I'm sure you are mine My love." 

Walking closes to me coming to sit so close to me. Taking my cheak in his had looking at me with so much love I lean into his touch. "I've always had feeling for you Stef but I've never acted on them knowing I had a mate out there, I could never hurt you like that. I've always wished and asked the moon goddess to make you my mate, seems like my prayers have been answered." he says smiling at me 

" I only hope that you will accept me as your mate to my love, my heart, my moon" those eye look at me begging me to say yes

I don't know what to say I'm in shock this handsome man, this man that can have anyone else wants me his mate. He wants me but how I'm nothing special. 

"I.. I don't.... I don't know what to say......"
