Chapter 8

Last night I had a hard time falling asleep after talking to the alpha. I was so nervous and excited to finally meet my family, the family I thought I never had. I just kept laying in bed thinking about my grandparents And cousins, wondering what they were like? if they would even like me? It's so scary and exciting to think about.

So when I finally fell asleep it was already late at night around midnight maybe, I slept like a baby and woke up at 6 am. Getting up from my double bed with a purple comforter and black pillows. Looking around my room ii is a nice-sized room with purple-colored walls a desk, a cupboard, and side tables all made out of dark wood. My room is to my liking. I stretch and go towards my cupboard to get some clothes out. I chose dark skinny jeans and a white tank top with my sneakers and get dressed. Looking at my I'm happy with what I chose, I know I should probably dress up to meet my family but I figured if they don't like me in what I have on then they won't like me at all. Doing my hair I put it up in a messy bun.

Going down for breakfast I say hi to a few of the pack well passing them going down the stairs. Walking into the dining room I spot Kim already setting and walk over to take a set next to her. I'm on her left well Ben is on her right and Donovan next to him.

"Hi, guys." I greet them."Morning Steffie." Kim greets me with a side hug. They guys both say hi with a wave.I dish up some bacon, scrambled eggs, pork sausages, and 2 slices of toast and start eating. When Kim turns to me and asked " so are you going to tell me what the alpha said to you last night?" Looking at me with worry. Swallowing my food I start to explain what alpha said to me last night, he didn't say I had to keep it a secret Nd with my family coming today I'm guessing the pack would know something by then.

"Well, Kim I found out so very interesting things about myself I never knew about. Like I have family and I'm a Tiger shifter also I'm some kind of tiger Princess or something like that." I look at her waiting for it all to sink in. 

"Wait? What did you just say?" She says with a shocked face, Ben and Donavon are also looking at me now with wide eyes.

"I have grandparents and cousins and an uncle and aunt. My grandparents and cousins will be coming here today they are all tiger shifters like I am. They will be coming to help me get used to being a tiger shifter and teach me everything I need to know." I tell her well eating my breakfast. 

She just keeps steering at me like I don't have a head or something. They guys are no different and I finally had enough I put my knife and fork down and look at them. "Guy you need to close your mouths before a fly gets in there!" I say kind of giggling. "How are you not losing your mind or ranging right now?!" Kim asked me still in shock. 

"Well, Kim I'm just happy to hear that I have family that is still alive and that this weird strength and speed I've been getting is from me being a tiger and not some weird human thing that makes me a freak," I say shrugging.

"Well, I thought we were your family?" Kim says with a sad face "Kim you know you will always be my family, you are my sister  blood or not I love you." I say taking her hand "but this is a bit different than that this is my blood relatives they are like me but they will never replace you guys in a million years I promise you that!" I hug her so she fully understands what I'm saying that to her. 

She looks up at me with tears in her eyes and says "I love you to Steffie and I don't want to lose you ever!" Hugging me back "I promise you Kim, you're not going to lose me! you're stuck with me for life!" I say with a big smile on my face. 

Just then I look up to Ben and Donavon. Been is smiling but Donavon looks at me like someone has stolen his favorite toy and won't give it back to him. I wonder what's going on with him, ever since his birthday his been acting weird and started talking to me more. Don't get me wrong he's never been mean to me and we have always had little conversations but he never went out of his way to talk to me.

We are all done with breakfast so we decided to go outside and wait for my grandparents. The boys decided to join us as we don't have training today. As we walk out I see our Alpha is also waiting outside so I walk over to him. "Good morning Alpha." I bow in respect so do the rest of them. "Good morning Steffie, Kim, Ben." He greets us and then he greets Donovan. "Morning son, when our guests arrive will you help me show them around, and after will you come with me to my offices so we can talk please?" He seems to ask Donovan not to order which is strange. 

"Yes sure dad, it's no problem ill help." He nodes to his dad. Just as we turn a car comes up the driveway. I start getting nervous now, this is it I'm finally going to meet my grandparents.

The car stops in front of us and people start getting out. A guy that's maybe a year or 2 older than I am and a girl that's around my age probably already 18 get out from the back then 2 older people get out from the front. They must be my grandparents the woman has strawberry blond hair like mine she's tall with a healthy body and the man has dark brown hair and is also tall, he's got a big body more muscle than fat. The other two both have dark brown hair and are also tall. I'm quite short so I guess I didn't get that from this side of the family. 

They look around as they get out before that spot us and come over to us. The older man greets alpha with a handshake. " it's been a long time since we've seen each other I hope everything and everyone has been good!?" My grandfather says 

"Yes, it's been a really long time. I'm so glad you could make it. Everything has been going good here and I hope it's been the same for you?!" They both smile at each other when my grandmother gives alpha a big hug."I have missed you so much. You know you've always been like a son to us." She says with tears in her eyes. Alpha hugs her back with a big smile on his face." I have missed you both too after losing my parents you both were always there for me and I'm so grateful for that." Just then my grandfather turns to me and opens his arms. " Steffie you've grown so big you look just like your mother when she was younger. Your beautiful my dear!" He hugs me really tight. I don't know what to say so I just hug him back with tears in my eyes. As we are standing there my grandmother pushes my grandfather out of the way " hey that's enough I also want a turn you big troll!" She glares and my grandfather wrapping her arms around me. I laugh at her glare and hug her back. 

She wipes my tears "come now little one no need for tears, we are so happy we can finally see you. And you've grown up so fast and you're a beautiful young lady I'm so happy to be here with you today."

"Thank you grandmother I'm just so happy to finally meet you both it's so amazing I thought I was alone but now I know you both are here with me." I smile up at her she's so damn tall."Just call me Mimi and you can all this old grumpy here Papa." She says. " sure thing Mimi" I have the biggest smile on my face they are amazing. "This is your cousins Noah and Eva." Papa points to my cousin which waves hi to me and I wave back to them."They will be staying with you till you get a hang of being a tiger and they will also be training you. They are our best worries so I know you will be in good hands." Papa says. 

I just node that's when Alpha starts speaking again." Let's show you to your rooms so you all can freshen up before we take you for a tour of our pack's land." Showing everyone inside we talk them to their rooms and leave them to freshen up.

Kim gives me a big hug and says she will give me some privacy walking hand in hand with Ben.I look up to see Donovan looking at me. I still cont figure out what is bothering him so I decided to ask him. " so Donovan what's up with you lately is something bothering you? Because if it is then you can talk to me I know I'm not your best friend or anything like that but I figured we are friends so I'm here if you need to talk."

Shaking his head, he answeres " no man Steffie nothing is wrong you have go your own things to sort out, don't you worry about me." I just shrug I'm not going to push it.
