I walked into the health classroom 30 seconds before the bell rang. I was clearly the last one. There was only one seat left right in the center of the classroom in the front row. I could feel everyone staring at me, watching my every move. I walked to the seat, sat down, and put my books in front of me. A girl to my left and a boy to my right.
The boy smiled at me l. He was definitely taller like Mr. Stokes. I couldn’t get that teacher out of my head. I wasn’t sure why. The boy had bright green eyes and silky brown hair. The girl half smirked and put her head down.
A minute later, the teacher, Ms. Lanberg, walked in. “Hello everyone. Welcome back.” She sat at her desk behind her computer. She didn’t even say everyone's’ names. She must have known everyone from previous years. She got up and walked to the center of the whiteboard. “Today’s topic is contraceptives. As stated in the school handbook, all students are not allowed to have a pregnancy during their high school years at Highsaw High. At the end of the week, all students will be given care kits for this school year.”
Hearing this, I cringed. How could this seriously be a thing? This brought back memories. I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t listen to this lecture about the handbook and students’ pregnancies. I got up with my stuff and ran out of the room. I was heading down the hall to who knows where when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I froze tears ready to fall down my cheeks.
