*Episode 10: "Helping Out and Facing Uncertainty "

240 Words
After completing her BECE in 2018, Angie spent her days helping her grandparents with their provision shop. She would assist with restocking shelves, managing sales, and even helping with household chores. Her grandparents' youngest child, Angie's aunt, had completed her BECE a year ago and was now in Senior High School, Grade 1. Angie often saw her aunt's schoolbooks and assignments, which sparked a mix of emotions – admiration for her aunt's progress and concern about her own future. Despite Angie's hard work in the shop, her grandparents would often remind her that they couldn't sponsor her education beyond the BECE results. "You should learn sewing or another skill," they'd say. Angie, however, had her heart set on continuing her education. She loved schooling and dreamed of pursuing higher studies. One night, as she lay in bed, Angie couldn't hold back her tears. She felt overwhelmed by the uncertainty of her future and the pressure from her grandparents to abandon her educational aspirations. She cried out of frustration, feeling like no one understood her or cared about her dreams. The darkness seemed to close in around her, and she wondered if she'd ever have the chance to chase her goals. As the night wore on, Angie's tears eventually subsided, but the weight of her situation remained. She knew she had to find a way to convince her grandparents to support her education or explore other options to secure her future.
