On seeing me descending the steps, my dad looked so happy. He came near me and said I looked beautiful.
Rossario just looked at me for a moment and looked down at his watch.

We are inside the car heading to the townhall. Something is wrong with Rossario. He was fine when he came for breakfast this morning. He hasn't spoken a word to me since we left the mansion. I know I'm not an active conversationalist, but even for me, this silence is sickening for a reason.
The car came to a stop after half an hour.
The driver opened the door for me and I expressed my gratefulness by saying thank you.
I looked around the decorations outside the building. This looks so grand, like it cost a couple of thousand. Is it really a fundraising event for an orphanage? If I was the event manager I would have saved the decoration money for the orphanage.
I felt firm hands on my exposed back. I didn't feel like pulling away from the touch. It felt so right like those hands were meant to be around me.
The smell of sandalwood and chocolate engulfed me and I took a whiff which seemed to comfort me for some unknown reason.Goosebumps formed on my skin as I turned around to Rossario.
Yes, I'am officially cracked in my head. Who thinks about their foster brother like this?
He looked down at me. The way he looked at me was not a plain one. The man seemed to be in conflict.
''What is it, Rossario?'' At this his brown eyes darkened. His chest rose up and down in an unnatural way and his left hand was in a fist.
''It's nothing, we should go inside.'' He said after releasing a breath.
The inside looked like some luxury event I had seen on television. ''is this really a fundraiser for an orphanage?'' I finally asked Rossario my doubts looking around.
''This is a fundraiser for an orphanage, but St. Thomas is not an ordinary orphanage ''he said with a smirk.
''Why so?''
''This is an orphanage for prodigies. The best brain in foster cares in the country gets the opportunity to live here.''
I have never heard of anything like this before. ''How do they select the prodigies?''
'' When a kid comes to any orphanage in the country they do some test. The kid must be above 4 years. only three or four get selected each year.'' he said, grabbing two flutes of champagne and handing me one.
'' This is all news to me. I must have been living under the rock.'' I said, chuckling.
''Actually nobody outside the elite circle knows about this'' He said before having his drink, leaving me alone in the corner.
Wasn't this dude supposed to be with me all the time? I guess I was wrong. Surrounded by strangers in a strange place, there wasn't any other option left for me other than the food court.
The food looked really fascinating to me since many of it was unfamiliar to me. ''What do you want madam?'' the waiter asked.
I looked around with confusion. Moments like these are quite hard. ''emmm I don't know honestly'' I said with a sheepish smile. He chuckled at that.
''The lady will have a slice of chef Hussain's special honey pastry'' An unfamiliar voice said beside me.
I turned to the person with a raised eyebrow look that said 'Who the hell are you to make a decision for me.'
There stood a man leaning on the counter with his arms forward. The man looked like bad news and extremely attractive.
On seeing my expression, maybe, the second I turned to him he raised his hands as if in surrender. And he should be charged for the crime he just did.
''You looked really indecisive so I had to help you out of your misery.'' he said with a shrug.
''You have a habit of helping every indecisive strangers?.'' I questioned.
''No, only attractive female specimens'' he said with a wink.
I stood there with a blank look on my face. Is this guy trying to flirt with me?
''Sheesh that is not how I usually talk, emm I'm not good at this thing, you know the whole flirting....'' He babbled, looking at a group of guys who were laughing so hard at him.
'Did they dare you to talk to me?'' I voiced the obvious.
The dude was running his hands through his hair in embarrassment, I'm guessing, since he was looking at his shoes. He looked at me with a boyish smile, the kind that could melt any girl who is into men.
''Here is your pastry maam'' the waiter handed me a plate.
''Thankyou'' I said before tasting a spoon full of this heavenly looking pastry.
''Oh my god this is amazing'' Hearing this, the decision-making dude suddenly looked a tad bit proud, which made me laugh.
To make it more obvious, he fake fixed his expensive cuffs and pulled his suit and leaned into the table nearby.
But unfortunately, the table didn't seem quite into him. Like Doja said, he made friends with the floor in the next second.
I wish he could've helped me with making a decision right now. I don't know whether I should laugh or feel bad for him.
I placed the plate on the nearby table and ran to help him. Two waiters had already helped him up.
''Are you okay?'' I asked, looking at the damage around him. It was a table with few flower vases. So no food was wasted.
''yeah. I'am'' He is clearly embarrassed now. To ease the situation, I started laughing . Fortunately, he joined me without making it more awkward. '' Well that was fun''
''yeah, the most fun I have had since I stepped into this room'' I said, agreeing with him.
We looked at each other for a second in a comfortable silence and I looked away with a smile.
''It's Enrico'' he said.
''what?''
''My name is Enrico'' he said again, extending his hand.
''I'am Allora'' I said, shaking his hand. They were rough and big, which made mine look really tiny.
Familiar hands touched my back, which broke the easiness in the air.
