“Di (sister)wake up, you promised we would go shopping today,” yelled Drishti as she shakes Mishti ’s shoulders. Mishti groans and swats Drishti’s hand away “Choti (means small/younger) go away and let me sleep.” Drishti smirks mischievously as she picks up the glass of water on the nightstand and drops it on her sister’s head causing Mishti to shriek. Drishti bursts into laughter when she sees Mishti fuming she bolts out of the room with Shivangi chasing her. “Mama mujhe bachao (mother please save me),” yells Drishti as she hides behind her mother. Divi raises her eyebrows and looks at Mishti with amusement. “Choti today you will not escape,” shouts Mishti, she lunges forward and grabs Drishti’s ear. Drishti yelps and apologizes to her sister; they both get ready to have a girl's day out with their mum Dr Divi Patel. Divi adopted Mishti when she was a new-born. Mishti was abandoned at the St Thomas church and brought into London Bridge hospital where Divi is employed as a physician. She and her late husband Brent were married for 5years but were unable to conceive, Divi and Brent fell in love with Mishti, so they decided to adopt her. Divi has hid this truth from Mishti. Two years later the couple were blessed with Drishti. Brent died of leukaemia 3years ago, ever since then it has just been Divi and her girls. Divi is excited that Mishti agreed to marry Akshay her best friend’s son, she is busy with wedding preparations.
Divi relaxes her shoulders. “Mmm this feels amazing.” The masseuse smiled as she continued to massage Divi's shoulders. Mishti hears light snores and giggles. “Mama we going to need help carrying our Drishti out of here.” Divi smiles as she looks at both her daughters and nods her head in agreement. Drishti yawns while she stretches her arms. “I really needed that, now who's hungry.” Mishti pinches her little sister’s nose. “Choti you are always hungry; you live to eat.” Drishti replies “yes I do, I can’t imagine life without food, my date from the Charity event is going to regret betting on me.” Mishti replies “my tigress I feel sorry for the guy that marries you, he better be prepared to have an ongoing headache.” Drishti smirks earning her a disapproving look from her mother.
The girls are seated with their mother at the famous Everything Asian Thai Restaurant when they hear a familiar voice that sends chills up Mishti ’s spine. “Hi aunt Divi, my I must say you ladies look gorgeous.” Divi gets up and hugs Akshay. “Akshay you can call me mum because soon we will be family, the wedding is a month away.” Akshay leans down and kisses Mishti on her cheek startling her. Mishti excuses herself and rushes to the bathroom followed by Drishti. Drishti pulls her sister into her arms trying to console her. “Di why don’t you tell mama the truth that you don’t want to marry this jerk, he has touched you inappropriately and misbehaved with you on many occasions.” Shivangi sobs harder in her sister’s arms. “No Choti, no one will believe me, Akshay portrays the character of an angel in front of everyone when he is actually the devil. I really don’t want to marry him; I’ve heard he has had many girlfriends but how do I tell mama.” Mishti prays for a miracle to save her from the notorious Akshay whilst Drishti vows to expose Akshay’s true character. Drishti holds her sister tightly. “Di you are not alone, I promise together we will figure out a plan to get you away from that demon.” Mishti dries her eyes and adjusts her makeup as she heads back to the table, she notices that Akshay is gone and sighs with relief. The ladies enjoy their meals and head home. Divi thanks her daughters for the wonderful day oblivious to the pain Mishti is going through. Drishti comes up with a plan to expose Akshay before the wedding but decides not to tell Mishti because she knows her sister will try to talk her out of it due to the fear of disappointing or hurting their mother.
Mishti opens her laptop only to notice that she has a new f*******: invite. She logs into her f*******: account and gasps when she sees that the invite is from the stranger who hugged her at the charity event. Mishti decides to be inquisitive and scroll through the stranger’s profile, her heart leaps when she looks at his profile picture, she traces her fingers over the picture and bites her lips as she contemplates whether to accept or reject the invite. “There is something about you Shivaan Kapur, I can’t forget the pain I saw in your eyes that night, I guess we are the same suffering in silence,” whispered Mishti as she accepted the f*******: invite. Mishti shuts down her laptop and decides to get some fresh air.
Mishti is on the terrace thinking about the terrible predicament she’s in when she feels something soft brush against her legs, she looks down and sees Trixie her Golden Retriever wagging her fluffy tail. Mishti gets on her knees and hugs Trixie. “Di I’m jealous, Trixie gets more love than me.” Drishti puts her arms around her sister and Trixie forming a group hug. “Di, I have the perfect thing to change your gloomy mood, why don’t we take Trixie for a walk and stop at Starbucks for a cup of your favorite Choco chino.” Trixie barks in agreement. Mishti reluctantly agrees and follows Drishti. Mishti holds on to Trixie’s leash tightly and smiles when she sees her beloved pooch trotting happily along the sidewalk. Drishti interlinks her arms with her sister’s, she is relieved to see Mishti smiling for the first time since that B*#t#*d Akshay’s appearance. Trixie starts growling, Shivangi notices a muscular Rotti trying to sniff Trixie. Drishti nudges Mishti. “Aw Di, I think our Trixie has found a boyfriend.” Shivangi gasps when she sees the dog’s owner…...
