To celebrate his comeback, Baafour and the boys organised a charity hike up the mountains. Aboagye willingly offered to join in. The proceeds from the hike would go to efforts towards the cure of Trypanosomiasis. Although half-fit, Gaither insisted on participating in the hike.“I’m sorry for putting this long-awaited activity on hold,” said Gaither to the guests present. " I want to be a torchbearer, spearheading the fight against this debilitating disease"
“Anybody who condemns you for stalling this most important activity will be the most unreasonable person that ever lived,” said Baafour. “Let’s put the past behind us and forge towards a common goal.”
Most important of all, Gaither's father and family came down from Rome to support his cause.
