“Where do we find Aboagye and his parents?” asked Adobea’s mother. “They live in Accra.” “So he travels all the way here to visit?” “Yes, Mum.” “Then he must love you very much and must be very committed to this cause.” Saying it so sarcastically and ogling at her husband to rub the message in. “Can you call him to ask whether we can come over?” “Yes, I can, Mum.” Adobea picked up the landline and called Aboagye. At first, there was no response but it must have been because of the number that appeared on his phone. Adobea used her android phone to call him and he responded. “Hi, Aboagye!” “Hi!” he answered coldly. Adobea thought she might as well go straight to the point. “My parents want to come over to your house. Can they?” “You didn’t even ask how I was doing. No courtesies.
