Song for the chapter: Hypnotize by S High feat Zinoleesky and Victony.
Gina's POV
The chattering of students were going straight to my head, making my head throb. I wanted to shout, to shut everyone of them up. I closed my eyes tightly as I was sure it would be red. I pulled out my headphones and placed it on my head then I chose a random song from my playlist.
I let out a breath as I focused on the music.
Hypnotize by S High was playing and I swayed to the song, remembering the early hours of today and what had transpired. How I had kissed a total stranger, who felt familiar to me like I had known him all my life.
I sighed as I realized I didn't even know the brown haired blue eyed bastard's name.
Someone tapped my shoulders and I pulled down my headphones and stared up to her.
"Dr. Eze is here" Love Gabriel whispered, pointing out to the Pathology lecturer.
"Thanks Love" I whispered back noting how the class had gone quiet. Yep that was the power Dr Anita Eze had over us. With dark skin and a figure like that of a model, Dr Eze stood at five foot eleven which was six inches taller than my five foot five form.
"Hey did you hear Samuel's dead" Chetachi, a girl seating next to me whispered. " He's body was found in his bedroom"
I was shocked to my bones, I was confused, I thought I had left him behind the bathrooms back in the club, how the heck had he made it home or the better question was who had moved him.
My eyes caught with Martha's who was seated in the next row and she gave me a half smirk and a wink.
"Wait you didn't know?" Chetachi asked me, looking incredulous at my confused look. "Girl you self ehh, you are just something else"
I swallowed hard, paying Dr. Eze less attention. I was going to find out what Chetachi knew since I had no idea what everyone was saying about Sammy's death.
"Oh my goodness, Pastor Samuel's dead!" I widened my eyes and gasped dramatically. I was an awesome actress.
"No of course not, it's the other Samuel, not him" Chetachi rebutted my claims.
"Then who?" I asked all confused. From the corner of my eyes I could see Martha holding back a laugh. I narrowed my eyes in warning for a second then focused on my new gossip mate.
"That's what I don't know yet, for God sake Gina, we've got more than seven Samuels here and it's hard to know which one. You know I heard from Mary Ikem who heard from David Friday who heard from Mark Timothy who heard from someone named Andrew Uzoma that he was electrocuted to death" she whispered like we were partners in a conspiracy.
"Oh my god, the way students die nowadays is alarming, it's not my portion" I whispered back.
Someone snickered from the back.
"What's so funny Nwafor?" Dr. Eze asked making Emeka to gulp.
"Nothing ma'am" He said bashfully.
"Now get out of my class, I'm deducting five marks from your exams boy" she said, then turned to the face the rest of us mortals, her beautiful face screwing up in a frown.
"Why is everyone on black" she asked as she scanned everyone of us, all five hundred plus of us were on black.
"One of us, Samuel is dead" our course representative Paul Cornelius said. The entire hall was dead silent as he announced this. No one made a sound. It seemed everyone had been informed about this. I had worn all black as I was mourning him cos I had him killed. If I hadn't singled him out, that murderer wouldn't had killed him.
It was all my fault.
"Oh" Dr Eze sighed " I've always liked that boy. May Pastor Samuel Ibe's soul rest in piece"
"I'm not dead ma'am, I'm alive how many times do I have to tell everyone, I'm not the dead guy" The dark skinned twenty one year old man exploded. Samuel Ibe was nicknamed Pastor as he was always seen in figure hugging dark suits ever since we had started college. In fact with his stout figure, average height a squared face with dark eyes that were always hidden under glasses and his ‘Holier than thou’ attitude, it was no surprise that he got that name.
"Oh you're not dead, good I'm taking ten marks off your scores for that outburst" she retorted sharply then spoke to the class in a loud voice.
"Prepare for tests next Thursday and for those of you that don't have my textbooks, don't bother taking my test, your score is zero"

Someone was following me.
A man on black joggers and sweatshirt. I picked up speed walking towards the back of the engineering block where I was sure nobody would be at the time of the day. Slowing down so he could see me, I stopped when I was sure we were alone.
"Who are you? Why are you following me?" I asked as I did not recognize him.
"It does not matter, but I know you killed Sammy" He pulled out his hand gun, c****d it and placed it on my forehead.
"I don't know what you're insinuating, I don't even know the guy" I lied smoothly.
"Oh shut it girl, I saw you with my cousin back in the club, I know you murdered him" he placed his hand on the trigger making me hyperventilate.
"You will pay with your life" he said then pulled the trigger.
I closed my eyes expecting pain but felt nothing, then remembering I was now a vampire, which meant I was immune to bullets, as Emeka had said. I opened my eyes noting the surprise look in his eyes as he registered I was unhurt. I grinned as he short me more until he ran out of bullets, then I lifted him up. I was sure by now my pupils would be red and my fangs out.
I looked into his brown eyes.
"You shall forget what happened here, I did not kill Sammy, you never saw us together. He was electrocuted when he tried to fix the power switch" I commanded, my voice hardened on the last note. I felt empowered. Like some puppeteer, he was my puppet and I played him how I wanted. I could feel tiny vibrations in the air like a power tussle. I had him Hypnotized.
"You did not kill Sammy, I never saw you and him together. He was electrocuted while trying to fix the power switch" he repeated like a robot being given command by his controller.
"Good, now scram" I said watching him walk towards the SUG complex.
"Good job Mi Amore, seems you've done your first successful hypnosis"
At the sound of the now familiar voice I turned with anger at how he had once again showed up after I had cleared his mess.
