Day 19.5

Evan's point of view

There was no denying Aidan's sudden change in personality when he suddenly snapped at me. It was the first time since Mia left that he seemed affected by it and I knew why. It worked, Cole kissed her. Or at least someone did.

Aidan glared at me from the other side of the room.

"What are you smiling about?"

"Nothing"

"Stop smiling like that, you look like a giraffe"

"You can't tell me not to smile"

"I can tell you whatever I want" I heaved a sigh,

"Ya, okay"

"Don't ‘ya okay’ me" I looked back down at my work and peeked at him. Suddenly Olivia walked in and leaned over his shoulder, her blond hair falling over them. He glared at her.

"What do you want" She looked taken aback at his snappiness.

"What's gotten into you?"

"Me? What's gotten into you, to just barge in here with your cheap smelling perfume?" She looked down at her feet.

"I'm not wearing perfume" He wrinkled his nose

"Go take a shower. You stink" She didn't say anything, but her eyebrows were crunched together as she walked out of the room.

As soon as she left, I turned to him.

"It's not like you to act like this. What going on?" He took a deep breath

"This is going to sound crazy, but I think Mia is cheating on me" It was hard to keep my smile from showing.

"So... You're the one who told her to leave. Besides, you have a mate"

"Olivia is not my mate." He grumbled under his breath.

"You're with her anyway. You had your chance with Mia, now she's gone" I knew that if I presented a challenge for Aidan, he would jump to take it and would be on his way to save Mia. This was going a lot faster than I thought it would be, then again it had to be fast, if not Mia wouldn't make it. Aidan never responded, leaving the room mumbling words to himself and running his hands through his hair.

Once he was gone, I rushed to the phone and called Cole. It was Ryker who picked up the phone.

"Did you do it?" I asked.

"Do what?" He seemed confused,

"Did Cole kiss her?"

"No, he's going to do it right now"

"Wait, what?"

"What?"

"Aidan already changed his mind. I think with a little more probing he's going to break"

"But Cole never kissed her"

"Then who did?"

"I don't know"

"Wait, did you say that Cole is going right now?"

"Yeah"

"Well, don't let him" I yelled into the phone. Evan never responded, and I hung up the phone just to see Aidan walk in with a bar of chocolate. He hadn't broken each little square to eat and instead just took a big bite out of the bar. Usually, this would have annoyed him. He was precise like that. I didn't say anything to him, just went back to my desk and finished my work.

If Cole didn't kiss her, who did? Maybe nobody did, and she fixed herself. Is it possible that she broke free? Is she no longer mates with Aidan? If so, how come Aidan still feels the mate bond? Now that I think about it, Aidan really thought Olivia was his mate until he found out that she can't have children and that the moon goddess would never put them together. Is it possible that Aidan had two mates? Is it possible for Mia to have two mates?

I had never heard of that, but maybe the moon goddess made a mistake. It has happened before, usually, the two wolves rejected each other and that's that. Sometimes, wolves never found their mates and it was thought that they didn't even have one. Maybe this case was opposite for Mia and Aidan. Do they have two mates? If so, was that the person who kissed Mia? But if her second mate showed up, why is she still not able to sleep. And if they are mates, why she rejected Aidan?
