Epilogue

I woke up, slowly blinking my eyes. I was staring at a very naked chest under a very warm blanket. I smiled knowing who it was. Derek had his arm around my waist as if to ensure that nothing would happen to me in the night.

I felt him shift slightly in the bed before waking up and pulling me up to kiss me.

"Morning" His voice was raspy with sleep and sent shivers down my spine.

"Morning" I answered back. I got out of the bed and threw a shirt over my head before walking down the stairs.

Benjamin, my five-year-old, was sitting on the couch watching tv. When he noticed me he jumped up from his spot.

"Can we make pancakes?"

"Sure! But first go get Daddy"

"Okay!" He smiled a toothless grin. He had recently lost three teeth. I grabbed a cup of coffee and went to sit on the porch, knowing that I'd be a while before Derek got out of the bed. The sun was just rising and was slowly warming up my face.

Just a month ago I had gone back to my old pack with Derek to visit just like I'd promised.

Cole had found a beautiful mate who became his Luna and has recently just had their first pup.

Aidan on the other hand still hadn't gotten his happy ending. Olivia left Aidan shortly after I had left, all the better since she couldn't have pups anyway and there would be no heir for the pack.

I'm not sure what happened to my parents, but to be frank, I didn't care.

Turns out that I really did have a chance with another mate. Derek had noticed it the first time we met, that day so long ago when I was in the forest running. I hadn't felt it because of my recent disconnection from Aidan and my wolf was in pain. Derek treated me the way I had always dreamed of a mate to treat me. I loved him more than anything in the world, right next to my son. We were planning on having another soon. A girl hopefully. He was the Alpha of the pack, but with Derek on my side supporting all my choices and a very welcoming pack, I finally got my happy ending.

"What are you thinking about?" Derek showed up behind me and kissed me on the forehead

"You" I smiled and leaned in for another kiss.
