Gordon"s eyes shot open to a world of light and pain. He immediately put his arm over his eyes against the bright sunlight. He realized he was, at least, alive. He felt something next to him and realized it was his lumpy sack still tied around his body. He hurriedly searched for his metal can. He found it, and opened it to find only a little water got in. He ate a sweet as he looked around. There was not a cloud in the sky, almost like there never had been. He was lying on some large leaves, surrounded by sand. Did I crawl here?
