“All quiet. The Firstcouncilor Trunculin has called together the meeting of these two great councils for introduction of treaty between our great kingdom and the people of Extatumm. All rise.”
Both councils were assembled before them. Trunculin walked out to speak, and TrTorrin came out next to him. Trunculin knew this had to go well for the councils to approve the treaty. Back room chatter often got in the way. If it was not decided here and now, the firstcouncilor knew that the idea was dead.
Trunculin began. “Members of both councils, we come before you with the treaty between our two great peoples, signed by King Asa, for you to consider. Before I go on, I would just like to take a moment to welcome our most honored guest, Alonnia, grandmother to the queen of Thure.”
