Ellice replied, “Yes. Everything is there, and we can leave anytime. Where is Gordon?”
“He wanted to get one more look at the mural. Why don"t you go get him? I need to check a few more things before we leave,” said Mantuan.
Ellice walked slowly down the stone corridor. She couldn"t imagine how this place had been built. The stonework was so massive, and it was built thousands of years ago. Everything must have been done by hand, but each block was so precisely cut that it looked like it was made by machine.
As she passed the intricately carved shapes in the rock above the archway, she also looked downward, noticing how large the blocks were that supported the walls. “How did they even get the stone here?” she whispered to herself.
