Alisson woke up to a dark sky and the silent stillness of the morning. The sun had not yet come up and the clock positioned on the far wall read '3:15 am'. She was on edge and felt dread-filled anticipation in her bones. She carded her fingers through her hair tiredly and yawned loudly. She was tired but knew that trying to fall back asleep was a hopeless cause so she did not bother trying. It was already decided that she would leave at five am; early enough for there to be few wolves awake and moving around but late enough for Alisson to travel safely.
