The rest of the week had passed by fairly fast. We packed up a few necessities we would need for the weekend and we all met in the living room. Brandon picked my bag up and carried it to their jeep for me. Brandon climbed into the driver's seat while Brendon helped me in the back. As soon as Brandon turned the ignition, Brendon shut my door and jumped into the front seat. They buckled up and we took off, back towards my old pack.
"We are going straight to Aunt Agatha's and then, if there is anything else you would like to do, we can go do other things together." Brandon directed the statement towards me.
"Thank you, I don't think there is anything else I would like to do." I barely mumbled the response.
We grew silent after that. Noise suddenly filled the car. I looked into the front to see that Brandon had turned on the radio. The voices coming out of the radio were talking about the weather. There was supposed to be a huge storm coming this weekend apparently. The storm was expected to cause a lot of damage and it would possibly put some roads under water. The storm was expected to start with high winds and some rainfall later that night. The sky looked clear to me, not a single cloud in the perfectly blue sky, but who was I to argue with a storm team?
"Maybe we will get lucky and the storm will pass over us." Brandon said.
"We are never that lucky, better to prepare for the worst." Brendon responded as he leaned forward and looked up at the sky.
"We will be at Aunt Agatha's so there isn't much for us to do to prepare for it." Brandon was also looking at the sky.
The high winds started almost as soon as we pulled into the driveway. Brandon jumped out and started to grab all the bags as quickly as he could while Brandon was helping me out of the car. Once I had two feet planted firmly on the ground, Brandon ran to help Brendon get the bags into the house. We ran up to the front door and I knocked. The door opened immediately to Agatha's smiling face. She pulled us into the house and gave us a minute to compose our clothes and my hair before wrapping us all up in hugs.
"I'm glad you all made it safely." her voice was soft.
"We didn't see any of this storm until we pulled in here." Brandon teased his aunt.
"Well, at least you made it in the house." she smiled back at him.
She let her eyes travel over me. Agatha had been like a second mother to me so I expected the look over she gave. She was spinning me around and feeling on my belly. I winced as she pinched my cheeks and then she grabbed my face and looked into my eyes. This woman was doing the whole checkover. I couldn't stop myself from laughing, which made Agatha break out in a smile. She let go of me and I took a step back before looking back over at the twins. They were trying to contain their laughter as they watched their aunt do all of her motherly checks. Agatha seemed satisfied that I was well and healthy.
"Well, I guess the boys are taking care of you." she smiled and looked at all of us.
"We are Aunt Agatha. Amelia actually does all the cooking." Brandon informed her.
"That's only one part of taking care of someone." she rolled her eyes.
I looked around at the place that had been my first home as an Omega. Everything looked the same as it had when I was living here, even David was on the couch like the very first time I had walked through the front door. We all walked into the living room and sat down. The twins sat on either side of me on the couch just like they always do. We could hear the wind picking up even more from outside the windows. Brandon got up and peeked out of one of the living room windows and we all saw that the sky had turned pitch black even though it had still been sunny when we arrived, with the exception of the wind, the day had still been pretty.
Rain had started coming down and made it impossible to see very far out of the window. A loud clap of thunder shook the house just as we had all stood up to look outside. The thunder made me jump and Brandon wrapped his arms around me. He started to rub my back in small circles while watching my face. Brandon walked up to us and kissed the top of my head before looking at my face. I smiled at him and looked back towards the window. Agatha and David were both already standing at the window, David was holding Agatha in his arms in a similar way that the twins were holding me.
I looked back towards the window just as lightning lit up the sky. The lights in the house suddenly shut off and the twins wrapped themselves protectively around me. We stood there in the dark for a while until another loud boom sounded through the house. We all stood in silence for a while, with David holding Agatha and the twins holding me. I couldn't help but think about the voice on the radio that said this storm was expected to cause damage and flood some roads. I understood now how dangerous this storm was going to get.
"I have some candles in the kitchen." Agatha said as she pulled herself away from her loving husband.
"I'll help you get them." I chimed in and pulled myself out of the arms of the twins.
We walked to the kitchen and grabbed the candles she had in the drawers. She grabbed a lighter and some candle holders and we walked back into the living room to start setting them up. Agatha lit all the candles and we sat back down on the couch. The curtains and blinds on the window had been left open so we could all look outside. No one was really talking as we watched the rain plummet from the sky and listened to the wind as it howled through the sky. The storm was only just beginning and already it seemed bad. David sat holding Agatha against his chest and the twins held onto my hands tightly.
We sat there for hours just watching the rain as it pounded against the windows. Everyone finally agreed to go to bed at around 10 that night. Agatha carried a candle and walked me to the room I had slept in while I lived here. Everything looked the same as it had before I left. I walked over and made sure I could see out of the bedroom window before getting ready to lay down. While I was gathering clothes from my bag for me to sleep in Agatha walked in and sat the candle down on the bedside table.
"You definitely look better." she said as she turned around to look at me.
"Thank you." I replied awkwardly.
"I'm glad you and the boys have each other, they have been so alone since the passing of their parents." Agatha looked down.
"They lost their parents?" I was shocked; I didn't know their parents had died.
"Oh yes, they don't talk about it. They died not long after the boys turned 18 and they haven't found their mates yet either. They were beginning to think that they never would, but I kept telling them that they are only 21 and they will find their mates when the time is right. You came along and I've never seen them so protective over one person. I'm so happy you have this chance and that they are finally happy. I know that on your last night here you ran into your first mate and I know the hurtful things he said to you, but I also know that the boys will protect you. You may not see it, but I can tell they love you. I'm hoping after the year is up you might feel the mate bond with one of them or both of them. You know a lot of twins actually share a common mate." she was rambling by the time she got done, but she got her point across.
"I may, but I would rather wait to make any kind of commitment until I know for sure." I didn't want her to think I was rejecting them completely, but I also wanted to have a good excuse for not getting into a relationship with them.
"I hope you do. They have done some bad things, but it's only because of grief. They try so hard to hold on to anything and anyone they can because they are scared of being alone. They are truly good boys, they just need someone to love them properly." she wasn't letting this go.
"I understand." I didn't know what else to say.
David walked up to the door at that time carrying his own candle. Agatha stood up and walked over to hug me tightly. She looked deep into my eyes again before she left the room with David and went to bed. I stood there and looked out the window at the rain as I took in the information Agatha had given me. I couldn't forget what they had done to me, but was it time to forgive them? We all have a past that shaped us and the best we could do was learn from it. They hurt me, but was it possible that their reason for it was understandable? I didn't know what to do at this point. My emotions were conflicted and I wasn't sure what to do.
"Shouldn't you be getting ready for bed?" Brendon's voice came from the doorway causing me to jump.
"I was about to." I almost whispered as I turned around to look at him.
"You need your sleep and this storm doesn't seem like it's going to let up any time soon." he responded as he walked into the room.
"I will go ahead and get ready for bed. I want to watch the rain for a few more minutes though." I heard myself pleading with him.
"You have been good lately. Go ahead and watch for just a few more minutes but then it's bed time." his voice was stern.
"Yes Sir, thank you." I turned back to the window.
The rain didn't appear to be letting up and every time thunder rolled through it would shake the house. I didn't know how anyone was expected to sleep with the storm raging like it was. A sigh escaped my lips as I turned back around to gather my clothes for bed. Brendon was sitting on the edge of the bed holding my gown in his hands with a smile on his face. I blushed and took the gown before running to the bathroom to change my clothes. My cheeks were bright red with blush when I looked at myself in the mirror. There was no way I was starting to develop feelings for them; I couldn't.
I walked back into the bedroom and saw that he was still sitting on the bed. His smile grew wider when he looked over at me, confirming that I was blushing more. I looked down at the floor as I walked towards him. I stopped in front of him and placed my hands behind my back. He stood right in front of me and grabbed my chin in one of his hands and lifted my face to look at him. His eyes seemed to be searching mine for something. He slowly lowered his face to mine, never breaking eye contact with me. His lips gently touched mine and I found myself kissing him back.
"Good night kisses?" Brandon's voice came from behind me.
"You always interrupt at the worst times, brother." Brendon almost growled as he pulled away from me.
I stood there dumbfounded, still confused by my feelings. Brandon chuckled and walked up to us. Brendon captured my lips in his again. Brandon started to kiss my neck as his hands landed on my hips. When Brendon had finished kissing me, they spun me in their arms and switched. Now, Brandon pressed his lips into mine and Brendon planted kisses on my neck. I found myself kissing Brandon back just as I had Brendon. There was a feeling in the pit of my stomach that I wasn't sure I wanted. There was no way I was falling for my captors.
"Good night." the twins said in unison before leaving me standing there dumbfounded.
They shut the bedroom door as they walked back to the living room. I heard them as they pulled out the hideaway bed in the couch and I finally climbed into bed myself. My mind was still racing from their kisses. I touched my lips and thought about the way their lips had felt as they kissed me. My mind was struggling to process all of the details. Soon enough I got up and snuck into the living room to see the twins. I found that they were still awake and sitting up on the bed.
"You should be asleep by now." Brandon said as I walked in.
"I'm sorry, I couldn't sleep." I didn't know what to say to them.
"Well, come sit with us then." Brendon offered his hand to me.
"Thank you." I whispered as I took his hand and climbed into the bed between them.
"What's on your mind?" Brendon asked as him and Brandon pulled the blankets up over me.
"I don't want to talk about it right now, not until I can figure it out myself." I looked down.
"Fair enough. We can just lay here and cuddle you." Brandon spoke before Brendon could.
We laid down and they pulled the blankets up over my shoulders. I was laying facing Brendon and Brandon put one his arms over my waist while Brendon wrapped our legs together. Both of them put their arms under my head and they were pressed as close to me as physically possible. Brandon's warm breath was tickling my neck but it also felt really good. I hadn't realized I was even the least bit cold until the two of them wrapped me up between them. We just laid there like that until we finally fell asleep.
