CHAPTER 13 CLANKING of utensils. That's what made Roselle woke up, and she knew who was it already. She's not even surprised he got in her apartment, he can make ways. She lazily stood up and fix herself. She went out of her room and saw Ian cooking breakfast, he gave her a smile "Good morning" he greeted. "You're here" She weakly said, walking towards the high chair of her kitchen counter. "Yeah, I'll be meeting someone later. Do you wanna come?" Ian placed a plate in front of her with bacons and a pouched egg on it. "I have work" "Just file an absence, just this once" Ian said watching her slowly eating. "I can't, I'm working on something important. And why do my presence's needed? Who are you meeting?" Roselle stopped eating and focus on him curiously. "It's a surprise, just come with me" Ian said, a small smile plastered on his face. Seeing him smile like that, she bet it is someone close to them and she's thinking curiously who is it? It's not like they have lots of friends, yes they have separately but not friends with both of them. "I'll pick you up after your work" Ian said grabbing the hem of his shirt over his head to remove it "I'll just go take a shower, I'll send you to work" Roselle fully tossed the poached egg in her mouth and swallowed it "No!" She can't let him, not now "I have my car, I can go by myself" Ian stared at her and after few minutes he went straight to the bathroom, she was able to release a sigh. She thought he will argue about it, but he gave in so quickly. She saw him tying his shoe laces when she went out of her room all ready to work. Ian raised his head from bending down, his left eye peeking through his long curly hair "You're going already?" Roselle just nodded and grabbed her car keys on the coffee table. Ian stood up and followed her out of the apartment "Where are you going?" "Gym" He shortly answered waiting for her to lock the door "I'll pick you up later" "Let's just meet up, I'm riding my car" Roselle tried to reason out. Ian raised one of his brows, not wanting to hear her reasons. He can do what he wants, not even her can stop him. Roselle just stopped herself, she shouldn't have tried to reject him, as if there's gonna change. She left with Ian standing up waiting for her car to disappeared, she looked at him on the side mirror and mumbled to herself "What's his up to now?" She arrived at the company and walked in his office. She saw Justin with his other secretary - the man, he was reading an email to him. Her brows furrowed, he's early than her. Why? Justin glanced at her furrowed brows, and as if he read her he said "I'll be out the whole day" "Why? Is there something wrong?" Roselle put her things on her table and walked towards his. "A problem with the deliver of the products, I'll check the storage and maybe fix the problems. I'll bring Anthony with me" It's normal for her, he usually prefer bringing Anthony when he's out. She just assumed he preferred going out with a man, especially if he needs a hand to carry some things a woman can't do. Roselle just nodded and watched him fixing his wristwatch and grab his suit, he looked at her but he didn't say anything. She still felt guilty last night, or was it earlier at dawn. And she knows he's acting very professional right now to avoid her at the moment, maybe the problem with the deliver was just a perfect timing. All day, she was busy checking emails and documents to be sign on. It's unusually silent inside the office, she was used to it when Mr. Jeon was still his boss but when Justin replaced his dad, it was the opposite. He would talked to her from time to time, asking her opinion about what his reading unlike his dad. And now, the silence was deafening. She stretched her arms out as she finished reading all the emails from yesterday and today, her phone chimed. Roselle checked her wristwatch "Oh crap! It's almost 6" she quickly tidied her table and turn off her laptop. She checked Ian's text message saying he's on his way and that he was already near. She jogged towards the elevator not wanting Ian to come out of his car when she went down late. But luck wasn't on her side today, inside the elevator was Richard. And seeing his face just makes her wanna go back and let him ride it alone but she can't do that. She already moved on from him, she already forgot about their past. He stood there looking at her, waiting for her to come in. And she did, she wanna act like his presence is nothing to her at all now. She stood beside him and saw that the button to the basement was already pressed. The elevator door closed and the surrounding went silent, she didn't try to glance at him. She just felt him move and hear him breathe but she don't care. Why is it taking too long to arrive? She heard him scoffed, her brows scrunched hearing him do that. But she still didn't mind him. "You're really something" Richard suddenly said. She didn't respond, she don't want to talk to him and she's hoping he do too but she's wrong. "Acting like nothing happened huh? As if what happened was just something unnecessary" Roselle glanced at him frowning "What do you want? We're done" Richard scoffed again "And that's because of you" It was Roselle's turn to scoff "Daebak! It was you who cheated" "And that's because of you, a liar" Roselle fully turned her body to face him "Can we just don't bring this back? I've been controlling myself with all the intentional side comments of your immature girlfriend. Don't be a jerk too" "I am?" Richard pointed to himself, he unbelievably turned his head sideways "Then who was it that lied that she's getting married? You lied to me that you already have a man to marry and I am the jerk?" Roselle was taken aback, yes she sure recognized her fault but still he didn't hear her out. He didn't listened to her when she said it was just force, that she don't feel an inch of feelings towards Ian. "I told you I loved you!" Roselle whisper-shouted "I told you I'm ready to cut that forced string tied on my neck just for you, but you're a coward" "I don't believe you, you love me really?" Richard smirked while shaking his head "I didn't see it. I can't trust you anymore, knowing you lied behind my back? I can't have an ounce of trust left to believe your lies" "Is that why you chose to cheat?" Tears brimming to fall, but she tried to stopped it before it even fell out. She didn't know she will still feel hurt, their past was long gone thrown at the back of her mind. She let herself feed to the thought that he cheated on her and that their relationship ended same as their trust to each other lasted. She genuinely loved him, it was the first time she felt being loved by a man that isn't her family. It was the first time she felt like she was precious, that she is free. Being caged by Ian to himself, she forgot how all of that felt. She was deprived to meet different people, all her thoughts running that she was owned by him and not to herself. It was Richard who let her felt to be cherished and be respected, that she isn't owned by anyone but herself. That it was a difficult decision to tell him about her disposition, that her future was already planned and the same at the man she'll forever be with together. When Richard heard about the truth, it was when her conscience bugged her that let her decided to tell him the truth. But he wasn't open, he didn't gave her time to say her reason. He was blinded with her mistakes and set aside the moments and the memories that they shared. She was sure all the actions she did with him was all genuine, but she guess he didn't felt all of it seeing he let their relationship fall down and break into pieces. It just made her mad when he saw him with the woman he cheated with all lovey dovey walking along the company, the last straw of hope for their relationship broke seeing that. "You cheated first, I'm just giving back" Roselle gave a small smile. And she didn't regretted what happened hearing him now. A jerk! A f*****g jerk! She was ready to fight Ian away from her life if only Richard hold her hand but he didn't and now she wasn't regretting what happened. Hearing him and seeing how a huge jerk he is, she deserve the immature girlfriend he's with. "Jerk!" She strongly stated, glaring at him. The same time the elevator belled indicating they already reached the basement, they both face the front as the elevator door opened. But to her surprise, a pair of tired eyes greeted her. In front was Justin facing them. But what made her more shocked was behind Justin. Ian's car was driving inside the basement. She want to curse but she can't. WHAT TO DO?!! Justin exchanged glances at her and Richard. Richard bowed to greet him "Aren't you coming out?" Justin said with his deep tired voice. Richard bowed his head as he walked out of the elevator, he then glanced at Rosé "How about you?" Roselle stared at his back and went to his face "M-Mwo?" she stuttered. "Going home?" Roselle just quickly nodded, looking at Ian's halting car to park. She needs to go to him already but she can't because of Justin "Yes, I need to go now sir" Justin's brow arched "Drop the sir, work time is already done" "Sorry sir, I really have to go" She quickly said seeing Ian's car engine stopping, she knows he'll come out any soon and she can't let him. She walked passed him to jog towards Ian's car but Justin stopped her by holding her arm. She turned to look at his furrowed brows asking why is she rushing. Roselle looked at him pleading "Sir please, I really need to go?" "What is it this time?" Justin asked hearing the same phrase she'd been repeating since last night. Roselle was hesitating to tell him but she just heard a car door opening, she removed his grip and looked at him pleading "I'm really sorry, he's here" And then she jogged away towards Ian's car, she saw how Ian closed back his car door when she approached. She opened the passenger's seat but threw a last glance at where she just left. Justin wasn't there anymore, and the guilt she'd been feeling just added a ton. "What took you so long?" Ian asked as soon as she sat in. "Sorry, my boss just asked me something important" She reasoned out. Ian looked ahead of them and back to her, she nervously smiled at him. Did he saw them? "Was that your boss? He's hot" A cute voice spoke at the back seat. And she can't believe her eyes "Jessie!" she exclaimed. Jessie gave her a pretty smile seeing her reaction "Miss me?" She can't believe she's here, she was in Germany. When did she arrived? Jessie  looked at her surprised face, it's been so long. What is she doing here? Why is Ian's little sister here in Seoul?
