Chapter Eleven: Night Is Darker Before DawnAfter finally destroying Larry Callahan and beheading him, under the appalled eyes of his older son, Williams and Harris helped Robert to carry his brother to the street level and to his car. After they saw them arrived safely at Nosfort hospital, Harris asked Williams, “What now?”
Williams didn't reply. He was busy jotting down a list on a notepad. After he had finished writing, he handed the pad to the Sheriff.
“We need to get all this before three to be ready,” he said.
Clayton raised both eyebrows when he read the list. Cucumbers, cream cheese, sunglasses, crustless bread, iced tea, sunscreen—sunscreen lotion?!?!
“This is a rather bizarre shopping list for two in the morning, Sherv.”
“Is there something open where we can get these items?”
