CHAPTER 13 : Fail Escape?

“P-prophecy?” “I haven’t heard that one before.” Murmurs started to fill the training ground while I was still stunned at Celestine, who was intently looking at me. What the hell is she talking about? “This is hard to believe, but it’s either we lose her, and we will take the risk of our lives in the near future because no one will come anymore to save us.” She continued. Me? A wolfless girl? That’s freaking insane and ridiculous, isn’t it? “This is complete nonsense.” “You have to believe me,” Celestine insisted. The scarlet eyes now landed on me, and I could read how furious he was. “I’ll give this to you, Celestine. But once I have proven that you are just doing this to free her up, then you’ll be punished, by death.” Priam quickly shifted his gaze at Celestine as everyone took a gasp. “If that’s what you want, then, I’ll prove to you that you made the right decision to spare her life.” He didn’t bother to reply anymore before turning around and walking away. His men followed him and left me alone. I let out a deep breath of relief. That was close. “Are you alright?” Celestine quickly came to me and removed my cuffs. “I apologize for that.” She added and guided me back to her house. “Here drink some water.” She handed me a transparent glass, and I immediately took it. I felt like my energy was too drained after what happened. I almost died. “Thank you for saving me, Celestine,” I managed to say. I was truly grateful for how she convinced Priam, and she even put her own life on the line. “You shouldn’t have to risk your life for me,” I added, and looked away. Thinking that no one will be affected when I die. I’m not being dramatic, but rather stating the fact, that my parents won’t even cry, or even if they do, the pain will fade away as soon as possible. “I didn’t lie, Luna, so no life was put at risk.” I glanced at her, not convinced. “I know you’re just trying to get rid of this complicated situation. And I appreciate it. But…” I paused for a moment. “What you said was completely impossible, Celestine. Priam was right, I don’t have a wolf…” “Aren’t you curious why your wolf isn’t coming out yet?” Celestine asked this time. “That’s because I’m weak and I couldn’t handle her once she came out. My twin sister has a beautiful wolf. She was able to summon it before we even turned eighteen. That’s why she became the Luna of our pack.” I continued. I still clearly remember what happened on my eighteenth birthday. I was fully embarrassed about not being able to summon my wolf and got rejected by the Alpha, who was my mate. I’m sure if I already have my wolf within me, she’ll feel the pain doubled to what I had experienced. “Hey don’t cry. Everything will be alright.” I was startled to feel Celestine’s warm embrace on me. “So you really have a twin sister and she was the Luna? And Priam took you instead of her.” I slowly nod and wipe my tears. “The hunters came that night, and I’m with the Alpha because he tried to mark me.” “But you don’t have a wolf yet, you might die.” She quickly retorted unbelievably. A smile escaped from my lips, a bitter one. “He clearly knew that, but he was untamable that night. I don’t know if I will thank those hunters who came just in time and I was saved on the edge of death from the hands of Alpha Primo.” But Alpha Primo also tried to save me that night. That was probably the reason why he mistook me for Luna. “You should take a rest…” She paused for a moment, probably waiting for me to tell her my name. “Chandria. That’s my name, Celestine.” She slowly nods and gently caresses my hair downstrokes. “Chandria, that’s beautiful indeed. So are you.” “Thank you for your kind words.” *** “She is the she-wolf in the prophecy.” “The chosen one destined to kill the Alpha with the tattoo on his arm.” Celestine’s voice keeps ringing in the back of my head. I shook my head, that’s impossible. Alpha Primo was the only werewolf I knew who possessed a tattoo on his arm. Does that mean that I am fated to kill him? That was absurd. I roamed my eyes inside this luxury room, and from here I could clearly see the full moon from the transparent door. I walked toward it. “Beautiful,” I whispered and raised my hand, motioning to touch it. But of course, I cannot. We could appreciate its beauty but we couldn’t do anything about its existence. The fact that the only thing we can do is stare at it makes it superior to us. I hope my life is like the moon, where I will be appreciated by my pack for who I am and let me live the life I wanted without meddling in it. It feels like it was a sin to be the daughter of the former Alpha and Luna, who doesn’t have the ability to shift. I sighed, here I am again, being dramatic as I am. I shifted my gaze down to the whole compound. The black Stygian pack established an expensive-looking yet secured one. The former Alpha probably was so good in his leadership skills that he made everything in order like that, and even gained his pack’s love and trust ‘til the end. Then I remember Priam’s resenting eyes towards me. He seemed to be fully convinced to kill me, and if Celestine didn’t prove that what she was saying was true, then she'd be dragged into my mess and get killed because of me. I wouldn’t allow that to happen. With all the courage left in me, I roamed my eyes into the whole compound again. There are two Omegas guarding their main gate, but I’m sure there’s a secret way somewhere, I just have to find it. And this is the perfect opportunity to do that. I tiptoed down to the ground. I was sure if I could shift then it would be easier for me to escape, but unfortunately, not. It was dark and I barely saw the way. I should’ve brought a light with me. Perhaps that wouldn’t be a good idea. They would easily notice me and I might get caught, so yeah, I should just have endured it. I’ll just let the moon guide me. After a couple of minutes of finding the secret way to escape, I finally got it. The fresh smell of the woods and the sound of the wind blowing fill my system. I could guess that the forest is just a few steps away from me and I could get through it back to the Silver Mist pack. Thankfully, when I fully get out of those big buildings of the Black Stygian pack, the alleys are pretty clear this time, as only the tall grass and trees' shadows block them. So I started running until a masculine and perfect build naked body hinders my way. His scarlet eyes were piercing, fully enraged towards me. “Where do you think you’re going?”
