As Lord President of the Council it is my duty to carry out the king"s wishes, to guide him on matters where his youth and inexperience would otherwise have him miss the necessity to act and to ensure that the regency council perform in the monarch"s best interests. The boy is somewhat lazy at times, becomes easily bored, spends more time than he should with games and puzzles, both inside and out but is, on many occasions, seen to take his responsibility seriously, keen on occasions to be active in affairs of state and, paramount in his young mind, determined to complete the transformation of this land to a protestant Church of England and stamp out Catholic practices.
