My father comes to me with the intelligence that Mary received Dudley"s summons to come to London and had set out upon her journey when she was stopped on the road and given a message that it was a trap. How that message came to her is a mystery to him but the fact is it caused her to divert and make for Norfolk where she has many supporters.
"Will she raise an army there?" I ask, nervously.
