I work as hard as I can today and I try to keep other thoughts from intruding into my mind. I am fully occupied with cord and leather and shoe shapes, cut out on paper. When I think about what is happening in the outside world I try to skip over the bad bulletins such as the news that Henry Grey, Duke of Suffolk, father of Lady Jane, has been executed at Tower Green.
