I"m pretty much in a daze throughout the marriage ceremony; I see brightly coloured costumes all around me, I"m aware of my father standing to the side and Guildford standing right next to me and there are twelve young virgins, all dressed in white who preceded me down the aisle. There is a hush all around until I hear the priest"s voice but none of it seems real in a way. Then Guildford makes his vows and I make mine, promising at the conclusion to be bonny, buxom in bed and at board and I plight my troth. When I look to right or left all I can see are smiling faces but it must be obvious to all that I am not smiling.
