Amara's POV
Present Day
I woke up feeling disoriented. For a minute, my brain wasn't processing a thing, it was just blank. After a while, it all started rushing back to me, the missing files, Mabel, the accident. I remember thinking I saw Genesis but I must have been imagining that. I looked around me and saw that I was in a room, there was no bed, just my chair in the middle of the room, with a table. My legs were chained to the leg of the chair and my hands were chained behind me. There were chains wrapped around me with the chair, what? What is this? How did all this happen? Was the person I actually saw really Genesis? I tried struggling with the chains and it wouldn't even budge an inch.
