"How long have I been sleeping for?" I mumbled as soon as I opened my eyes, closing them again when the bright light pierced my iris.
"8 hours maybe? Or was it 9? You know, you never cease to amaze me. How can you sleep so peacefully in a car ride full of bumps and turns for so long?" Eric said, making me roll my eyes.
Yeah. Of course, peacefully. I bet if he will be happy when he will be honored by some ancient king and queen he doesn't even know of without any purpose. And did I mention only the bad memories of the couple?
"How far are we from the destination? Is it too far? Where did these buildings suddenly come from? It's been only a year since I came here, and things already look so changed," I commented, looking at the tall buildings around me.
