Liam’s POV The scotch scorched its way down my gullet, a much-needed escape from the heavier burdens weighing on me right then. Setting the tumbler back on the surface, I eyed the golden-brown booze swirling perilously near the edge before I knocked it back in one go. “Jace… Rhea…” I muttered, doing my best imitation of Bella’s tone. “Talk about a real stretch of generosity, huh?” I gave the liquid in the glass a lazy twirl as I stared into its depths.
