Ava’s POV
“Can we just get to the point already?!” one of the intruders snapped, clearly done with all the back and forth.
I took a scared step backwards, turning back instantly to behold a steep. Just a further push and I’ll fall to the ground with a lot of broken bones.
I tried to scream, but before I could, one of them charged at me, reaching out like he wanted to shove me off the roof. Just as his hand was about to touch me, something silver flashed behind him.
“What the hell!!” one of them shouted, turning around to see what had glinted in the light.
A sharp claw swung out and hit him squarely, knocking him down hard with a loud thump.
