I didn't know why Tyler insisted on coming to London to meet me, he didn't give any indication as to why. It couldn't be because of Dad, since the man never bothered me again. Not after I pleased him when I finally agreed to marry Alix, though I still refused to come home. I married Alix for her sake, not because of whatever business deal we might get out of the union of our families.
The pure chaos happened when Alix was admitted to the hospital for her emergency cesarean procedure. Somehow, her family was alerted to her situation, and they came down on me to keep Alix's condition from them. Her brother Samuel was also there with his bodyguard Perry, who looked pale as a ghost though trying to remain inconspicuous, standing in the background like a true bodyguard.
