THE CURSE UNLEASHED

CHAPTER 6

"This was not supposed to happen." Jacob muttered as he stroke the name of the girl who in the hospital bed.

"Relax and give yourself some time."

"Grandmother, she has been doing it again and again even after I warned her. You have no idea how much I heard from him in front of all the reapers out there. I am not awarded the chief position for nothing." Jacob was still upset about the happenings.

"Hmm, is there anything that you can do about it?" She asked stroking his hair as he leaned on her lap.

"I don't know. There should be some reason that she is roaming around all these years which I still couldn't figure out." He sighed while checking all the records one by one.

"Who is he?" The lady asked as she noticed a young man's photo as Jacob flipped through the pages.

"Hmm, this is another case. He is not anywhere in this world but it says, he is freely roaming around even after his death date. I gave up on him for the time being."

Jacob was always in the best list of the reapers because he worked day and night as he gave himself into it. He has managed to get all the souls and sent them to after life with no mistakes until Aveline helped a soul to escape death.

"Come and eat something." She said as she noticed him getting pissed off again and again.

"Hmm."

Casper was completing his work half mindedly as he was starting to think about Aveline. He felt bad about leaving her in between without solving the fight they had. It was weird for him as they have never done it or at least she has never done anything. He knew how hard it was for him to befriend her, as she was really insecure about having a friend.

The guilt was slowly eating him up as he remembered her sad eyes asking him to trust her but as always men are driven by anger in most of the situations. He took out his phone because he wanted to call her and apologize but that was literally in middle of an interview.

"Sir, we are afraid that you can't use phones in between." The lady spoke from the seat of the host.

"I am sorry." Casper sighed as he looked up to meet Gilbert's angry eyes.

Gilbert walked in and snatched the phone from the boy ignoring the stares and all Casper could do was to watch him do so. He was used to it but something in him sprouted to react and so he did. Casper got up from the chair and grabbed the phone back from Gilbert before changing the focus to the host.

"These are the questions to which I answered a lot so if you may please, keep a check on the answers to that." He smiled at them with pressed lips.

"But the interview is not over, we have photoshoot too."

"Gilbert, make sure they get some of my unreleased pictures for the cover. I am going out and will get back for the dinner." He gestured Kate to follow him out leaving everyone else shocked.

"Casper, you can't just leave like that." Gilbert called the boy but he was long gone.

"Sir?" The guards asked confused not knowing if they should follow him or not.

"Just go with him, just the three of you."

"Where are we going?"

"Don't be tensed, okay? I will manage it and you wouldn't lose the job." Casper assured her as he got into his car.

"But you didn't have to cut that interview. Do you know how embarrassed Gilbert would be right now? You already postponed that interview twice and it took a lot for Gilbert to arrange it again." Kate explained but she knew that the boy wouldn't listen to her.

"I know, I know but there is something that I need to sort out or else I won't be able to concentrate."

The rest of the drive was pretty boring as Kate didn't initiate a talk and Casper was surfing through his phone. The guards seemed to be well aware of the place as they kept looking out if anyone would identify the car. Casper usually doesn't take his own car for personal purposes as everyone of them knows the car well.

"Go to the South Huran hospital." Casper said but his eyes still laid on the dim lighted phone.

"Are you sick?" Kate asked, suddenly concerned about the boy's health.

"No, I have to meet some one important." He answered as he smiled at her, again as an assurance.

"That smile creeps me out so don't."

The car stopped in the next fifteen minutes as they pulled in to the parking lot. the guards looked back at him, not knowing what he wanted to do there. The boy took out his mask and secured it on his face which was still full of make up. The next accessories were a cap and a glass as all other celebs who tries to hide their face.

"Sir, I will arrange an appointment." The guard hesitated as the man was about to walk out.

"No, I will go with Kate." he answered as he gestured his stylist to get down from the car with him.

"Are you sure?" Kate asked as she hesitantly looked around to see if it was crowded or not.

It was almost seven in the evening which means everyone was taking a walk in the park or by the streets on purchase. Kate quickly walked behind the man who rushed into the hospital with head hung low as he didn't want to gather attention. Casper made his way to the reception ignoring all the stares people were giving him for going in like an alien.

"Is there any girl who was admitted here from an accident in the woods? She could have been admitted here like a few hours ago." He asked the reception with a fake voice.

"Hmm, may I know the details." the reception lady asked as she typed in something to the system.

"Park Aveline is the one who got the patient here. Will that information help?" He asked because there was nothing else that he knew about the girl.

"One minute sir, let me contact the observation room." The lady politely answered before talking the phone.

"Kate, you have to meet the patient and ask her what really happened. I can't come in because she may recognize me and wouldn't talk."

"What makes you think, she will tell me what happened? By the way, who is the patient?" She asked because she had no idea for real.

"I don't know. If you can't get the answer from her then I will have to do it myself. Isn't that a motivation for you?"

Even though he wore a mask, Kate could see his evil grin through it. She just rolled her eyes at him as if she wants more details about the situation and that is when he explained how Aveline and him saved the girl from woods. He also said about the umbrella man whom he met on the way who caused accident.

"I will try my best so please do not mess up in between." Kate patted his back before walking to the observation.

Casper was waiting outside to know what had happened but his legs wanted to run to the room. He is very bad at waiting, maybe because that was how they treated him till then. He gets everything he wants at any time of the day and night so waiting was never in his bucket list.
