THE CURSE UNLEASHED

CHAPTER 8

"Park Aveline, finally what got into you that you decided to call me?" Casper asked as he walked into her apartment as the door was not locked.

He didn't get any response from her at first so he decided to barge into her bedroom which is the farthest space that she could hide in. He was waiting to see her puppy sorry face and the apology she might have prepared but more than that he wanted to know why he went to the hospital.

He knew they had a fight but he wasn't sure about what it was, everything seems to be misplaced a little from that day morning. The last night was pretty much rough because he had to attend to some meetings he pushed away for a couple of times and this night looks like it is going to get more rough. He pushed the sleek door open which showcased her pretty yet simple bedroom which had a mono chrome themed.

"Aveline, I am here..... all ears for your apology." He teased her a little but to much of his disappointed, she was not in there too.

He scrunched his whole face into a bubble and aimed for the balcony at the side of the room which would be one of her favourite places. He slowly walked there, hoping to get a chance to scare the s**t out of her. He peeked to the balcony keeping his whole self still inside the room and holding on to the slide door frame.

"Where the hell did you go?" He was a little amused to not see her even there because as much as he knows her, the chances for her to leave her apartment open sounds absurd.

He then thought of another possibility which was more absurd but it wouldn't hurt to try, right? He walked to her washroom in the other bedroom because he remembered her complaining that the hot tub in her bathroom was not working properly. He walked to the guest bedroom and pushed the door open, hoping to really see her in there.

He was right about that at the end of the whole apartment tour that he had to do for her. The shower was on and he could hear the water falling down like sharp hail stones on the marbled floor. He sighed and sat at the edge of the bed, waiting for her to walk in and explain herself. Maybe, she will be a little surprised to see him there waiting for her patiently.

Casper took out his phone and started to surf through the internet to see if there is any news about him from the hospital. He was always on the top notch when it comes to rumors and hatred along with the immense love he gathered. He decided to leave a tweet or two for his fans as it has been some days, since he got time for any of it.

He opened his twitter page and just texted a simple message, it was kind of a formality as it has been quiet some time that he did anything for them. He inserted two emoticons of heart and a kiss along with good evening message as he posted it. He kept the phone on the bed, ready to get his phone burst with the thousands of messages that he would receive.

For a second, his focus changed back to the bath room and that is when he heard something really strange, something which he never expected to hear from her bathroom. The muffled sobs that escaped along with the heavy shower of water was almost not audible for him but he was glad he caught up to it. He couldn't wait for another minute to know what was happening inside so he rushed to the door.

"Ave? What is wrong?" He knocked on the door and this time, he could hear the cries more clearly.

His question was not answered but the sobs increased making him more worried that he wanted to barge in. Casper tried to open the door by twisting the knob of the bath room not considering the fact that she can be naked. Aveline has never once cried in front of him so it was bothering him and on top, he even fought with her.

The door surprisingly opened giving him an access to walk in so without thinking much, he proceeded to hear more cries. He could see her slender frame in the tub which was at the end of the luxurious bath room as well as her chocked sobs. He pulled the curtain off the center which parted the shower area and the tub, finally seeing her in a miserable state.

"Ave?" he called immediately kneeling down to her half drowned figure.

"Pl-please don't leave me." She cried as soon as she heard him next to her.

"What are you talking about Ave? Did you really think that I would do such a petty thing over our meaningless fight?" He asked as he pulled her to him for a tight hug.

"No, Ca-Casper... this is more im-important. Casper, pl-please don't le-leave me ever."

The amount of stutters that happened as she spoke just a simple sentence broke his heart to million pieces. Was she crying because she was scared of losing him? He never thought that Aveline could be this weak with her emotions even after clearly stating that she doesn't permit anyone in her life. As much as he wanted her in his life, she also needed him but she was never good in expressing.

"Ave, get up. You are soaking and then you would get sick." He debated to her own self as he pulled her up.

"Tell me Casper that you wouldn't leave me." She asked pulling him back to her with much force.

"I am not leaving you ever or until you throw me out on your own. You are the only one who treats me like a normal human and what makes you think that I would deny such an amazing feeling?" He asked before hugging her tight and she did the same.

Casper finally pulled her out of the tub and took her to the bedroom as he turned on the fan. Aveline was still sitting their with her hands covering her face and crying her balls out but he was busy wiping her hair. Nothing was bothering him other than making her feel better and to not get her get fever.

"I was expecting an apology but you surprised me." He commented as he chuckled at her.

"Why? I don't get it."

"Seriously? We had a fact and then I don't even remember why we had a fight so tell me what was that about." He asked.

'Uhh? You don't remember anything regarding the fight?" She asked taking the towel off her face before looking at him in confusion.

"I know it doesn't make any sense but for real, I have no idea about anything. I just randomly went to a hospital with Kate and even they don't remember."

"Hmm, why hospital?"

Aveline could easily understand what had happened because it was not the first time, it happened. Jacob always make sure to erase memories of the people whom he meets or else eventually he will have to take their souls. Aveline have already asked him to not touch Casper and for some odd reason Jacob even agreed to it.

"I don't know." He answered.

"Even I don't know. We had a fight because you were cancelling all your schedules and you even made me lie to Gilbert." Aveline came up with a quick lie because it would seem trust worthy for him.

"That is a lame reason. We always talk about that but why were you crying for that? There is something literally off here or else why would I forget everything that happened? Why would I even go to a hospital?" He scratched his head before sitting down next to her.
