Jake was comfortable like this, warm and content. “I wouldn’t mind a bed like yours.” It sure beat his crappy little twin in his crappy little apartment. Gabriel’s hair tickled Jake’s stomach as Gabriel turned his head. “So stay here tonight.” There was a note of teasing in it, but Jake didn’t have to see Gabriel’s face to know he meant it. Jake stilled his fingers in Gabriel’s hair. “You already asked me that,” he said, working to keep the spike of anger out of his voice. “You know I can’t.
