Gabe wanted him, badly, and he was sure Jake could tell, but let go immediately the second Jake pulled back. But Jake kept a hand on Gabe’s arm, as if he couldn’t bear not to be touching him. He cupped the side of Gabe’s face, tracing the curve of Gabe’s lips with his thumb. “I think I’ve wanted to do that since I met you.” Gabe smiled and parted his lips to lick the pad of Jake’s thumb. “Me, too,” he said over Jake’s intake of breath. It wasn’t exactly true, but it was true enough. “I’m sorry. I really, really wish I wasn’t so tired,” Jake said. “But I feel like I’m about to fall over.” “That’s fine,” Gabe said quickly.
